Lisa Marie Tyrl (Fair), of Jackson, Michigan, passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 58. Lisa was born on December 1, 1967, in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Donald Lee and Shirley Jean Fair.
Lisa graduated from East Jackson High School and went on to get her Bachelor’s degree from Baker College and her master’s degree from Spring Arbor University. During these educational years, Lisa was active in the musical field, singing in high school and church choirs, playing her flute for various musical concerts and multiple community musicals. Lisa had a varied career in the medical field. She began her career as an X-ray tech and medical assistant in physicians’ offices and clinics, teaching CPR classes for the Red Cross program; physical fitness classes at American’s Physique, the YMCA, and her Church. After completing her master’s degree in the medical profession, Lisa became an exceptional instructor in her favorite career role as an Adjunct Professor at Jackson College and Baker College.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Ronald Tyrl. During their 35 years, Lisa was an Air Force and Air National Guard Wife and supported Ron in his civilian careers. She leaves her mother, Shirley Fair Marquardt; stepfather, Victor Marquardt; brother, Todd Fair, Tallahassee, Florida; sister, Victoria (Todd) Bork, Dublin, Ohio; stepbrother Charles Marquardt, Los Angeles, California; stepsister, Vicki Krause, Ypsilanti, Michigan; Uncle Fred (Linda) Po***ck, Mills, Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Lee Fair, brother, Chip, and stepsister, Michelle Marquardt. Lisa will be especially missed by her beloved fur baby cats; she leaves us with many good memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1505 West Michigan Avenue, Jackson, Michigan, at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. before the service, followed by a luncheon. Interment will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 11:45 a.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 W. Dickman Road, Augusta, Michigan. Instead of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to The Cascades Humane Shelter, Jackson County Animal Shelter, or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
