We, at Westwinds, invited seven teams of architects, engineers, artists, and liturgists to construct temporary chapels that would facilitate space for people to pray. Each chapel is roughly a ten foot cube, connected by a path positioned on the green. We call it “The Garden Path." When someone "walks down the garden path," we understand that they have abandoned God, much like Adam and Eve in Eden.
But before Adam and Eve strayed, they strolled. The garden path was always meant to connect us with God, and it was only our rebellion that led us astray. But the way out is also the way back—to God, and to our true selves. If we want to know God, we have to return to the garden. This is the path.
