One service this Sunday: Fall Reset @ 10am

Summer Church has ended, but we’re keeping the same service time for one more week—this time inside.

Join us Sunday, September 6, at 10am for **Fall Reset: One Service, Three Important Questions.**

Through music, reflection, prayer, and thoughts from people in our community, we’ll pause, pay attention, and consider what Jesus may be inviting us into this fall.

There will also be one more chance to “Stick Around and Find Out,” so plan to stay after the service and connect with others in our community.

What a great way to end our Summer Church season! It's been such a great summer (even though we've been stuck inside a lot). This season was marked by many great moments of connection and community. Baptism is one of the great markers of connection as we celebrate these moments as a community. Let's celebrate with those who were baptized today!

Anyone is welcome.

That's easy to say.

But what happens when welcoming someone begins to challenge the categories, assumptions, and hierarchies we've built our lives around?

That's the tension at the heart of Paul's little letter to Philemon.

Paul doesn't simply ask Philemon to allow Onesimus back into the community. He asks him to see this man—once enslaved in his household—as a dearly loved brother.

Because a Jesus-centered community is called to something deeper than “You can be here.”

We're learning to say, “I see you as the same as me.”

Everything around us tells us the same story:
Protect yourself.
Look out for yourself.
Put yourself first.
Jesus tells a different story.
This week, we explored Paul's letter to the Philippians and discovered that at the very center of the Christian life is a Savior who chose humility over power and self-giving love over self-preservation.
It's an upside-down way of living.
And it just might be the way the world needs most.

It's easy to build our lives on certainty, success, opinions, or even having all the right beliefs. But Jesus asked a different question: What kind of foundation will still be standing when the storms come?
This week, we explored the apostle John's powerful declaration that "God is love." More than a comforting phrase, it's the foundation for how we're invited to understand God, read Scripture, and love the people around us.
Because the strongest foundation isn't found in having all the right answers.
It's found in learning to build your life on the love of God.

What kind of church does our world actually need?
Not just people who know the right answers.
Not just people who follow the rules.
But people whose lives are marked by grace, integrity, generosity, humility, and love.
This week, we explored the book of Titus and discovered that Paul's vision for the church was never simply about behavior. It was about becoming the kind of community that makes the way of Jesus beautiful.
