From Bishop Wells:
A wonderful visitation on Sunday at Church of the Incarnation, West Point! A lovely breakfast preceded our Eucharist (Thank you, Trent and choir, for the beautiful music!), and an engaging Vestry meeting and lunch followed. Incarnation is doing so much ministry to support the vulnerable in West Point - and is still discerning more ways to support the community. Later, we all gathered for Evening Prayer and a parish picnic at the Suggs’ cabin, where a rain shower gave us stunning views over the lake. Thank you all for a great day!

Trinity Sunday was shared with the parish family of The Chapel of the Cross, Madison. And what a day!! Worship at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. - and the consecration of the new Columbarium and a lovely reception between! Congratulations to the newly confirmed, received and reaffirming! So grateful to join this parish family in worship!

From Bishop Wells:
We gathered for worship on Saturday at Bishop Bratton Chapel at the former All Saints Episcopal School site in Vicksburg. The Rev. Jane Bearden gave a meaningful sermon about the hope and love that former All Saints students have carried with them into the world. The Chapel was secularized, as we prayerfully discern God’s will for the next stewards of the campus. Grateful to alums and friends who gathered for worship and fellowship today, and particularly thankful to everyone - especially Dorothy and Garrett Wallace - who made the day possible!

From Bishop Wells:
A prayer for Memorial Day: O God, in whose hands are the living and the dead, we remember before you with grateful hearts all those who have laid down their lives in the service of our country and for the liberties we now enjoy; we pray for their eternal rest with you. Grant to all of us who remember them this day a sense of your will and your purpose; give us a renewed commitment to your commandment to love God and neighbor, and help us endeavor to bring about peace and justice among all of your people. May we not rest until all the people of this land share in the benefits of true freedom and gladly accept its disciplines. This we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, the Prince of Peace. Amen. (adapted from the Prayer for Heroic Service, Book of Common Prayer)

From Bishop Wells:
Pentecost Sunday was even more special today, as two of our worshipping communities came together to share worship, fellowship and some discernment. Thank you, St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, Long Beach, and St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Diamondhead, for sharing this Pentecost Sunday at both churches! It was great to be with you all - and to begin discerning what the Holy Spirit has in store!!
