Good Morning, JaxNaz Family,
We want to remind you of an important and meaningful step forward in who we are becoming together as a church.
At JaxNaz, we talk often about becoming more like Jesus. That’s more than a phrase to us, it’s the vision shaping how we live, lead, and follow Him together. And when you look at the life of Jesus, you don’t just see ministry… you see rhythms. You see Him withdraw, rest, and spend intentional time with the Father so He could return with clarity, strength, and purpose.
If we’re serious about becoming more like Jesus, we have to take those rhythms seriously too. That’s why we’re honored to share that on May 31, Pastor Bryce will begin a 7-week sabbatical extending through July.
The Church of the Nazarene encourages these rhythms for pastors as a way to cultivate spiritual renewal, long-term health, and faithful endurance in ministry.
Pastor Bryce has faithfully served and poured into our church for many years with consistency, humility, and sacrifice. We believe creating intentional space for rest, renewal, and time with the Lord is one of the healthiest things we can do, not just for Bryce, but for the future of our church.
This is not a vacation or time away for other work. This is Sabbath. It’s making space for God to do what only He can do.
This is good.
This is faithful.
This is part of becoming more like Jesus.
Would you join us in praying for Bryce and his family during this season, that it would be deeply renewing, Spirit-filled, and life-giving?
With gratitude,
The JaxNaz Church Board
