We are looking for suggestions that you feel may help bring people back into the club and to participate on this page. Please email me your suggestions, message them or call me. I would greatly appreciate it. If you want us to succeed and to grow, please offer your suggestions and please support us by attending meetings. We are trying to get set up to do Zoom/Teams meetings so that those who have moved away or whose health will not permit them to attend in person, may attend virtually.
One thing we are going to try, and I will send an email to go along with this post in support of this, is that the next meeting will not be a typical critique night. The details are as follows:
1) Each person bring one color and one monochrome image
2) Explain the story behind the image
3) How did you come to create the image
4) Did you have a vision for the image, if so, when did it emerge
5) Talk about your creative process, not the technical aspects, but your creative process.
6) Explain where you feel that you missed or hit the mark
7) Have them tell the group why they love this image
We are not going to discuss where the image was taken, the equipment used or your processing tools. The discussion will be about the image, the vision that created it and you feel about your work.
The floor will them be opened for questions and supportive comments. We will not discuss the technical aspects of the image and we will not give advice or explain how we would have created the image. This meeting will strictly be about the artist and their vision, with their interpretation of the image and whether or not they feel that they hit the mark creatively.
This will be more of a show and tell that focuses on what the individual person intended and how they feel about their work, rather than what others think or would have done.
