The Tomb is found empty of its prize, of the one death had claimed, of whom the soldiers stood all night to guard, of the one the apostles watched die on the cross, of the one it held against hope.

In his rising up from the tomb, I can rise up from my past, my guilt, my shame, my sin.
As he left the tomb behind, I can leave defeat and disgrace behind.

I can hold the hand that held the nail that set me free by His grace and mercy.

Today I am filled with thankfulness.
