Today’s meditation is on the word “persistence.” Thank you for sharing this sacred space together. While this is the last meditation of this series, you can revisit the collection anytime on our website: https://rmnetwork.org/2024-rmn-pride-month-prayer-calendar/

persist in pride in the face of exclusion.
persist in goodness and truth-telling.
persist in the pursuit of some-world better –
for us, for ours, for those to come.

feel beneath you the hands of your Creator, around you the saints that go with you, and behind you a lineage of q***r ancestors so proud that you are here today.

Today’s meditation is on the word “participation.”

you are invited to this life. you are invited – in your fullness – to the banquet of human connection. and we are so glad you are here.

your participation is requested in this eternal work of liberating love. come: you are just right for this time.

Today’s meditation is on the word “riot.”

we honor the roots of pride month: an observation of the power that emanates from the margins of society, the importance of God’s beloved children who are relegated to that distance.

in the midst of our festivities, may we never be far from the riotous spirit that birthed us. may our thirst for justice not be slaked until we all are free.

Today’s meditation is on the word “accompaniment.”

we will have full times, and we will have lean times. to accompany another through hard times is to be an echo of God’s voice.

how will you accompany someone today? who has come alongside you – however temporarily – to be an echo of God’s voice to you? what is God saying through them?

It's hard to see pictures like this. Prayers of resilience for our siblings in faith.

When you ask why we need Pride, this. This is why.

Today’s meditation is on the word “reflection.”

to recognize oneself in another is a gift. and in your likeness, someone sees their own.

to someone, you represent possibility.
to someone, you represent relief.
to someone, you represent the generous sweetness of God.
