Given the forecast for severe winter weather this weekend, the Diocese of Jackson is offering guidance regarding the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. The Church does not expect the impossible, and there is no obligation to attend Mass when travel is unsafe or dangerous.

You are encouraged to use prudent judgment, prioritize safety, and sanctify the Lord's Day through prayer if attending Mass in person is not possible.
