Every Friday kindness day!!!

Yes every day do something kind but Fridays pick something that is out of your comfort zone. Do something different then your normal kind things.

Pick from the list below or come up with your own. (Please share what you did through Gods love)
God asks us to love others more than our self’s. Do for others even if they are an enemy. Ask God to bless them.

Who did you choose and why? ( I am not asking this so to not Brag or boast(1 cor 13: 4) but as an encouragement for others. As we know God deserves all the glory and praise for the things we do. It’s because of him we have the opportunity to show Gods love through us.

Things we can do to be kind. Please add to list: ( I want to hear your idea’s)
- [ ] Do something for your neighbor. Maybe something in their yard. Mow, sweep porch, shovel, rake leaves, take dog for a walk
- [ ] Take trash out (if significant other usually does)
- [ ] Make a meal for someone you don’t normally make a meal for
- [ ] Take someone out to lunch or make them a lunch and eat with them
- [ ] Give a stranger a gift
- [ ] Send a card to a Facebook friend
- [ ] Make friends with an elderly person. Read to them, brush their hair, take them a plant. Take them soup.
- [ ] Rub a family members back
- [ ] Paint Someone’s nails
- [ ] Become a pen pal with a child you know.
- [ ] Take soup to someone that is sick
- [ ] Do something that the other person in the house normally does, for them.
- [ ] Give someone a massage
- [ ] Give someone a $5 gas card
- [ ] Give someone a pre packaged treat
- [ ] Make some cookies or brownies for someone you know
- [ ] Call or write someone tell them how much you love them and why
- [ ] Buy a candy bar for a worker at a store or waitress.

Love is….

1. Love is patient
2. Love is kind
3. Love does not envy
4. Love does not boast
5. Love is not proud
6. Love does not dishonor
7. Love is not self seeking
8. Love keeps no records of wrongs
9. Love is not easily angered
10. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in truth
11. Love always protects
12. Love always trust
13. Love always hopes
14. Love always preserves
15. Love never fails

We as humans can never achieve this perfect love with out help from God. Gods love is perfect. What is Gods spirit that lives in you telling you what you need to work on???? Just consider this. God instructs us to love one another. He instructs us to love our neighbor. He instructs us to love our enemy. Do we do all of the 15 with our enemy???

This is what we went over in our meeting on February 3. We are working in revelations chapter 1. Would appreciate any insight, questions or feedback. Thank you

Chapter 1

- [ ] What is chapter about? What will happen in the future and God is unveiling it to us, all will be blessed and take it to heart.
- [ ] Who are the main characters? (Vs11) God, Jesus, angel,John, The churches and followers of Jesus
- [ ] Where is it sent? Sent to the seven churches
- [ ] How is it sent? God sent a revelation to Jesus, Jesus sent angel to John, John recorded and sent to the servants of God.
- [ ] Breakdown: chapt 1 -what you have seen, chap 2-3 -what is now, chap 3- what will take place later
- [ ] What promise is connected? That you would be blessed by reading aloud, who hear it and take to heart the book.
- [ ] On what bases. Vs3.
- [ ] Do you think the promise applies today? Or only pertain to John’s time? Yes applies to today
- [ ] Why? Jesus has not come back yet
- [ ] What did you learn about Jesus?(rev1:18) He is living, he was dead but now alive forever he holds the keys of death and hades. (Rev 1:5)He is a faithful witness, the first born from the dead, and the ruler of the kings on earth, him who loves us and has feed us from sin by his blood has made us to be a kingdom and priest to serve his God and father.
- [ ] How is Jesus described? (Rev 1:13-16). He is dressed in a robe that goes to his feet with the gold sash around his chest he has white hair like wool, eyes like fire, feet like burning bronze glowing in the furnace, voice was like the sound of rushing water, his right hand held the seven stars. There was a sword coming out of his mouth, and his face was like the sun.
- [ ] Anything new? That Jesus holds the keys to death and hades
- [ ] Different than what you believed about him?
- [ ] How will you live now that you know?
- [ ] How you should pray?
- [ ] How you worship?
- [ ] What is the mystery of the lamp stands and stars? Stars are angels of the seven churches, lamp stands are the seven churches
- [ ] How do you know? Rev 1:20
- [ ] Should we study prophecy? Or is it just for scholars to debate? Yes we should study. God wants to unveil to us his chosen people.
- [ ] Where did this take place? (Vs 12)John was in the spirit. Jesus was speaking to John among the seven lampstands. (Vs9)Was on the island of Patmas.

Intro to revelations

- [ ] Who wrote revelations? John

- [ ] Whom was it written for? The seven churches and the followers of the messiah
- [ ] What did you see about those who read revelations? They are blessed
- [ ] Are they blessed if they simply read the book? Blessed if they read aloud, and hear it and take to heart what is written, because the time is near
- [ ] Read rev 22:7- record your insight? Jesus is coming and you are blessed if you keep the words of this prophecy.
- [ ] Why is it written? It’s a warning that the Roman Empire that called its gospel the pax ramana or Roman peace. The cult of Roman’s would soon become deadly to followers of the messiah. It was circulated to seven cites in the Roman province of Asia Minor. John’s main point is to challenge and encourage the believers in the midst of their opposition and persecution In John’s day, in an apocolypse a visitor from heaven reveals the secrets of the unseen world and the future through vivid symbols. John’s vision has 4 main parts each marked by the phrase in the spirit.
