PRAY FOR COURAGE
Bible Reading: Acts 4:23-31
Devotional: When the early Christians faced opposition, they did not pray for an easier life. They prayed for boldness. God answered by giving them courage to continue proclaiming Christ. Sometimes God changes the circumstances. Sometimes He changes us so we can face the circumstances.

Prayer Prompts:
• Pray for courage to share Christ.
• Pray for courage to obey God.
• Pray for courage to forgive.
• Pray for courage to stand for truth.
• Pray for courage to serve.

Devotional: Jesus reminds us that our Heavenly Father knows what we need. Prayer teaches us dependence upon God. We work hard. We plan wisely. We prepare responsibly. But ultimately, God is our provider.

• Thank God for His provision.
• Pray for families facing financial difficulty.
• Ask God for wisdom with money.
• Pray for generosity.
• Trust God with your needs.

Bible Reading: Proverbs 3:5-6
Devotional: We worry about the future because we cannot see it. God can. You do not need to know everything about tomorrow when you know the One who holds tomorrow. Trust Him with your plans, dreams, fears, and unanswered questions.

Prayer Prompts:
• Surrender your future.
• Pray about your dreams.
• Ask God to direct your steps.
• Ask Him to close wrong doors.
• Ask Him to open the right doors.

Bible Reading: Matthew 5:43-48
Devotional: Jesus commands us to pray for our enemies. That is difficult.
But prayer changes our hearts. When we pray for someone who has hurt us, we place that person and that situation into God's hands. Prayer helps replace bitterness with grace.

Prayer Prompts:
• Pray for someone who has hurt you.
• Ask God to remove bitterness.
• Ask God to bless them.
• Pray for reconciliation where appropriate.
• Ask God to make you more like Christ.

Devotional: Trouble is part of life, but God promises to be our refuge and strength.
Prayer may not always remove the storm. Sometimes prayer gives us the strength to stand in the middle of the storm. When life becomes difficult, run toward God rather than away from Him.

Prayer Prompts:
• Give God your current trouble.
• Pray for someone experiencing crisis.
• Ask for courage.
• Ask for wisdom.
• Thank God for being your refuge.

Prayer Challenge: Before reacting to a difficult situation today, pray first.
