🚦 The Green Light Means GO... Straight to VBS 2026!

Don't hit the brakes on your summer planning! Jacksboro First United Methodist Church & The Parish are giving you the green light to jump into a week that is going to be an absolute blast. We are putting the pedal to the metal for a week of music, games, and great lessons as we explore what it looks like to be "On the Go with God."

We promise to steer your kids in the right direction—here is the roadmap for the week:

🏎️ Who: Kids who have finished Kindergarten through 5th Grade
🏎️ When: July 7th – July 10th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM each night
🏎️ Where: Jacksboro FUMC over at 406 N. Main
🏎️ Family Fun Night: Friday evening at the City Park and Pool!

Go ahead and lock those dates into your calendar. We can't wait to share the ride with the kids right here in Jacksboro!

🥗 Salad Supper & Movie Night!

Mark your calendars! The Parish is hosting a "Salad Supper" and Movie Night over at the Concerned Citizens building on Thursday, June 11th.

Want to help make it a delicious evening? We are looking for volunteers to prepare a salad for the event. A signup sheet is making the rounds at church, but if you miss it or want more details on how you can pitch in, please reach out directly to Roxanna Maddox.

🔥 Day of Pentecost: Living Water
“The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children.” — Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Join us this Sunday, May 24th, at Jacksboro Parish as we celebrate the Day of Pentecost. We will be reading from John 7:37-39, focusing on Jesus’ promise that streams of living water will flow from within those who believe in Him through the Holy Spirit.

Rev. Jerry Boles will lead our meditation, "Living Water," as we celebrate the birth of the church and the gift of the Spirit. Worship begins at 10:45 AM in the sanctuary and online via Facebook and YouTube.

We look forward to lifting our voices in praise together with the Jacksboro community!

🚗 VBS 2026: Road Trip — On the Go with God!

Ready for an unforgettable summer journey? Jacksboro First United Methodist Church & The Parish are gearing up for Vacation Bible School, and your kids are invited to come along for the ride! We’ll be exploring how God guides us on all of life's adventures through exciting lessons, music, and activities.

Join us this Sunday, May 17th, at Jacksboro Parish as we observe the Seventh Sunday of Easter. We will be looking at John 17:1-11, entering into the heart of Jesus’ powerful prayer for His disciples and for all of us.
