We are SO excited to welcome everyone to Green Memorial Stadium tonight for an exciting night of Rebel football AND a special pre-game performance by our Mini Cheer Camp participants!

Our little cheerleaders have been working hard, and we can’t wait for you to see them take the field and show off what they’ve learned!

Come out, support our Rebels, and help us give these Mini Cheerleaders a BIG welcome as they perform before the game!

PLEASE NOTE: Everyone attending tonight’s festivities—including those coming to watch the Mini Cheer Camp pre-game show will be required to purchase a ticket for admission.

🍂📚 Over the past week, this group of students has enjoyed learning with The Leaf Thief! In this fun story, Squirrel becomes worried when the leaves begin disappearing from his tree, only to discover that the changing seasons—and not a thief—are responsible. 🐿️🍁

Students extended their learning beyond the classroom by gathering leaves from around campus for a creative art project and completing other activities connected to the story. We love seeing reading, science, art, and outdoor exploration come together! ❤️

📣 PEP RALLY INFORMATION 📣

We’re excited to celebrate our students at our Friday, September 4th Pep Rally! Please review the following important information:

📍Each side of the gym will have clearly labeled seating areas for parents and spectators. Please sit in the designated area for your group.

📝 All parents/guardians must check in at the gym lobby upon arrival.

🚫 Once the Pep Rally has begun, students may not be checked out. Students will not be permitted to leave the Pep Rally with parents or guardians.

⏰ The Pep Rally will begin promptly at 2:25 p.m.

📣 The Mini-Cheer performance will be the first item on the agenda, so be sure to arrive on time so you don’t miss it!

🧠🫀 Learning Anatomy & Physiology — Hands-On! 🫁🦴

Mrs. Bates’ Anatomy & Physiology classes have been having FUN learning the language of anatomy! We’ve been diving into directional and regional terms, body planes, and body cavities through a variety of hands-on activities.

📍 We started by using tape to identify and label body regions on our classmates.
📏 Then, students worked together to create a life-size body diagram to demonstrate their understanding of directional and regional terms.
🔪🍪 Finally, we wrapped up the unit by putting our dissection skills to work on gingerbread men, using our new knowledge of body planes and cavities to make precise “incisions” and explore anatomical terminology in a sweet way!

From labeling classmates to creating life-size models to performing gingerbread dissections, students have been learning by doing — and maybe having a little fun along the way! ❤️

Our K–5 math classrooms had a wonderful day of learning alongside i-Ready and Curriculum Associates, while our middle school classrooms also had a great day of observations and engagement alongside our Kids First team!

Loved seeing our teachers and students hard at work, engaged, and learning together! ❤️
