We are so blessed to have Brother Lyle Meador as our pastor! We’re thankful for his prayers, love, leadership, and all he does for our church family. 🙏❤️

If you would like to help us show our appreciation, please write a check and put “Pastor Appreciation Fund” in the memo.

We will be collecting donations through Sunday, October 18th, so we can prepare a special gift for Brother Lyle to present to him on Sunday, October 25th.

Let’s bless Brother Lyle and let him know how much we love and appreciate him! ❤️🙏

✨ Introducing Grace in Motion! ✨

We are so excited to announce the launch of Grace in Motion, the new Children’s Church & Youth Ministry at Christopher Chapel! 💙💚

Beginning in September 13th, we’ll gather on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 5:00 PM at Christopher Chapel.

Grace in Motion is a place for children and youth to:
🌱 Grow in grace
❤️ Serve in love
✝️ Follow Jesus
🤝 Build friendships and community

Our prayer is to create a fun, welcoming place where young people can discover God’s love, grow in their faith, and learn what it means to put their faith into motion.

⏰ 5:00 PM
📍 Christopher Chapel

Whether your child has been part of church their whole life or is just beginning their faith journey, there is a place for them here!

Come be part of Grace in Motion—where faith grows and love moves! 💙💚

This week’s Gospel reading comes from Matthew chapter 14, where Peter walks on water. As Jesus comes toward the disciples, Peter steps out of the boat. They were about a mile or two from shore. Peter says, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." Peter learned how important it is to keep his focus on Jesus. When he paid more attention to the wind and waves, he began to sink.

What things in your life make it hard to keep your focus on the Lord? Does Peter’s walk on the water remind you of any moments in your own life? Like Peter, we often start out strong. We take steps of faith and trust Jesus. But sometimes fear, doubt, worry, or the busyness of life can make it hard to hear His voice, and we lose our focus. The good news is that when Peter called out, "Lord, save me!" Jesus reached out His hand right away. He still does the same for us today. Have you met Jesus during times of chaos? If so, what helped you trust Him and keep your eyes on Him

Did you know? Where did the word Cokesbury get its origin? The name "Cokesbury" combines the surnames of Bishop Thomas Coke and Bishop Francis Asbury, the first two general superintendents (bishops) of American Methodism

We had such a great Blessing of the Backpacks service today. We prayed over our kids and our teachers for a successful school year.

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”- Matthew 17:20

REMINDER….

🎒📚 Blessing of the Backpacks 📚🎒

Join us at Christopher Chapel on Sunday, August 2, 2026, during our church service as we pray God’s blessings over students, teachers, school staff, and everyone beginning a new school year.

Bring your backpack, book bag, or school tote to be blessed as we ask God for wisdom, protection, courage, and a year filled with learning and growth.

We look forward to celebrating this special back-to-school tradition with you. Everyone is welcome.
