Cross Lutheran Church

We center around Jesus Christ, who leads us out into the world to love and serve all. You'll be known here. What makes us different from other churches?

-Community and relationships: you'll be more than a number in our books.

-Sacraments: God comes to us with promises of love and life that we taste, feel, smell, touch, and hear in Communion and Baptism. These gifts are for all people. Not a memb

er, but hearing God's invitation to participate? You're welcome, we know Jesus is inviting you to Table and Font.

-Worship: we love singing! You won't see us standing with mouths or hymnals closed (unless we have the song memorized!)

-Kids: all ages are involved in worship. We believe kids are formed by repetition, ritual, and relationship, so while we have a nursery, we love them in worship!

-Women & men are both created in the image of God. All are welcome to share their thoughts and serve in leadership. Our pastor, council president, and Sunday School superintendent all happen to currently be women.

-Bible: our worship liturgies, songs, and readings come from the Bible. God works in us when we read the Bible together.

-Hot button issues: we're committed to loving, civil conversation around the issues that often lead to arguments. We value humility and honesty as we talk together to discover each other's experience and the will of God for our lives. We intend to show each other the love of Christ. We also realize that we are sinners, and sometimes that makes living together difficult- but the good news is that we are forgiven and our community lives in to that forgiveness.
