St John’s Ivyland is grateful for our Young Adults and our Young Adults Ministry!

St John’s Ivyland loves all God’s children of every age, including Young Adults. Recent high school graduates, college students and young people who have completed their educational journeys can all find fellowship, fun and opportunities to grow their faith in the community we call “St John’s church family.”

Throughout the year we have Young Adult Explorers Bible study, opportunities to serve in Worship & volunteer, as well as movie outings, foodie adventures and more!.

This summer, whether you are a new high school graduate, a returning college student or a Young Adult living in our area you are invited.

We welcome all Young Adults who are looking to make friends and have fun in a faithful community grounded in Jesus’ love for all of us to come out and see the good things God is doing with and for Young Adults at St John’s Ivyland.

For more info about St John’s Young Adult ministry or to find out when the next Fellowship Hour is, email, call or text Min JT Crockett [email protected] & 347-948-4996.

“I do not cease to give thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers”

-Ephesians 1:16

How do we show appreciation for the people who mean so much to us? Do we say “thank you” ? Do we pray for them? Do we tell God how much they mean to us?

This Sunday St John’s Ivyland wants to say thank you to our Christian Educators with Worship! Join us at 9 or 10:30, Sunday May 31st as we pray for - and praise God for - the continued blessing of all those who serve as Christian Educators and servant-leaders to our Children, Youth, Young Adults and Adults.

From Bible Study to Confirmation Retreat, from Youth Fellowship to Sunday School and so much more, our Christian Educators show up for God and show up for all the members of our St John’s Ivyland Church family. We thank them. We thank God for them. And we look forward to recognizing them in Worship, with you, this Sunday!

St John’s Ivyland thanks God for all our Christian Educators and we invite you to join us in celebrating them Sunday, May 31st, 2026!

No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."-John 15:13 NRSVue

On May 1st, 1865 a group of freedmen - formerly enslaved African Americans - decorated the headstones of Union Soldiers who gave their lives in the Civil War in Charleston, South Carolina. Many believe this was the first observance of what we now know as Memorial Day.

But the first “Memorial Day” (or Decoration Day, as it was once called) is actually a day many towns lay claim to. From Columbus, Georgia to Columbus, Mississippi to Boalsburg, Pennsylvania communities around America believe it was their forebears who first honored those who gave their life for the United States in battle.

No matter where Memorial Day was first observed, what is clear is that all across this nation, people have been drawn to mourn and celebrate lives given heroically, not just for a flag but for the highest ideals it can represent. Thanks be to God for their sacrifice.

St John’s Ivyland church office will be closed Monday, May 25th for Memorial Day!
