Tonight is our last Nav Night of the Semester! We'll be wrapping things up in our Think It Not Strange series by covering Galatians 6:1-10. Tonight our topic is Think It Not Strange...that God keeps his promises. We'll be looking through the Old & New Testament to learn more about what exactly God has promised us. (And clarify things he has not promised us, yet we commonly feel entitled to have.) See you there. [7pm, Rockefeller 127]

Tonight we begin a 2-part topic on Think It Not Strange...that we are tasked with fighting against the "forces of darkness". Tonight in Part 1 we'll explore where scripture contrasts light from darkness. There are many warnings to "walk in the light" and avoid the things of darkness.

In Part 2 next week, we'll talk more explicitly about spiritual warfare and the actual forces of darkness that we're up against.

Hi everyone! Tonight we won't be having our regular gathering. Instead we will be attending a talk put on by the Veritas Forum. Each year they bring very engaging speakers on challenging topics that foster thought provoking discussion. Hope to see you there!

Tonight our topic is Think It Not Strange that we have "incomparably great power" as bearers of the Holy Spirit. We will be looking at scripture to learn what it means to be sealed with the Holy Spirit. And we'll also cover how the indwelling of the Holy Spirit should shape our behavior. 7pm Rockefeller Hall Rm 127.

Tonight we'll be discussing what is "normal" and what is considered "natural" behavior. Think It Not Strange....that what is normal in society is contrary to how God calls us to live. We'll be looking at many of Paul's writing to see what was "normal" in Corinth, Ephesus, and Rome. And we'll also consider what is now normal in our society, in Ithaca and the US and abroad. Tonight our topic is Think it Not Strange...that you'll face criticism and complaints from other Christians when you try to minister to those around you. We'll look at Matthew 9 and how Jesus was criticized despite the healing and comfort he was bringing to the multitudes.

We'll also spend some time discussing this viral video from 5 years ago, in the context of our topic. The goal is to not be discouraged, and remember Matthew 9:36-38, that we desperately need laborers for the cause of Christ. [Come tonight, 7pm Rockefeller 127]

Tonight kicks off our first Nav Night of the semester! This semester our theme is "Think it Not Strange..." (1 Peter 4:12-19) where we'll discuss what to expect from the world as we live out our faith for the furthering of the gospel.
Tonight we'll play a game searching for all the strange things that may or may not be in the Bible like unicorns, dragons, and talking farm animals. Hope to see ya there. 7pm Rockefeller 127
