Another Page to Write • John 21:15-25➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/49zqHVT John closes his gospel by reminding us that not even all the books in the world could contain everything Jesus did. That's John's way of saying the story isn't finished. Peter still has a road to walk. The disciples still have a mission to fulfill. And every day that we hear Jesus say, "Follow me," another page is written. The story of Jesus continues in the lives of ordinary people who take the next faithful step. John's gospel may end at chapter 21, but the story goes on.

Abundance After the Night • John 21:1-14➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/3RFKpZW The disciples return to fishing after the trauma and confusion of the cross, spending the whole night working without success until the risen Jesus appears quietly at dawn on the shore. Without fully recognizing Him at first, they obey His word once more and discover overwhelming abundance where there had only been emptiness. Then Jesus welcomes them onto dry land, beside a charcoal fire, and feeds them breakfast. Here we see that the risen Christ meets us not only in dramatic spiritual moments, but in exhaustion, uncertainty, failure, and ordinary life. He comes to us at daybreak, calling us out of fruitless striving into fellowship, provision, and renewed purpose. Every day, Jesus prepares a place for us and gently draws us into the peace and abundance of new creation.

New Creation for Wounded Hearts • John 20:19-31 ➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/4tt2yHJ The risen Jesus enters anxious rooms and speaks peace. He shows His wounded hands, breathes His Spirit, and meets His disciples where they are. Even Thomas, in his doubt, is welcomed, not dismissed. Resurrection life begins here—in fear, uncertainty, and locked doors. Jesus still comes to us in our worry and disappointment, not waiting for strong faith before He draws near. He brings peace, patience, and mercy. Christ is alive among us, already making all things new.

The Beginning of the New Creation • John 20:1-18 ➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/4uovSQv Mary Magdalene weeps outside the empty tomb, thinking all hope is gone, until the risen Jesus Christ speaks her name. Even when life feels full of loss, confusion, or loneliness, Jesus is not distant. He is near, calling each of us personally, just as we are. The same Lord who met Mary in her grief still meets us in ours. He knows your name, sees your faithfulness, and promises that death and sorrow will not have the final word. He is risen, and His new life now lives in us.

The Strange Coronation of the True King • John 19:1-30 ➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/4cAJkLe Jesus is beaten, mocked, and crowned with thorns, yet in the middle of all the cruelty, He is revealed as the true King. While others see weakness, He is actually carrying out God’s plan. He reminds us that even when life feels painful, confusing, or unjust, God is still at work in ways we may not immediately see. The cross shows us that Jesus meets us in our suffering, not from a distance but up close, and that His love is strong enough to turn even the darkest moment into the beginning of hope and new life.

Choosing the Kingdom You Want • John 18:28-40 ➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/4dYzBPN Jesus stands quietly, willingly, even as He is misunderstood and rejected. He is determined to love and save people just like us. Barabbas could only bring more conflict, more fear, more of the same broken ways of the world, but Jesus brings a kingdom marked by peace, truth, mercy, and self-giving love. He does not fight to take life. He gives His life to save it. While the world chooses power and force, Jesus offers a different kind of kingdom. One built on truth, mercy, and sacrifice. Our King is not harsh or demanding, not driven by anger or force, but gentle and patient, ruling with grace. His kingdom may not look powerful by the world’s standards, but it is the only one that truly heals, forgives, and gives lasting peace to hearts like ours.

The True King in the Hour of Darkness • John 18:1-27 ➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/41yf1OO Even as everything unravels, Jesus Christ is steady and in control. He succeeds where the first Adam failed. He steps forward while Simon Peter falls apart in fear. That’s closer to our story than we’d like to admit. We sometimes shrink back when it costs us. But our comfort is that the weight of the moment doesn’t rest on our faithfulness, but on His. Jesus stands firm in the dark so that our failures don’t have the final word.

When Power Looks Like Weakness • John 17:1-19 ➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/4uXJMu1 Jesus prays not to escape suffering but to reveal God’s glory through it. He knows the difficulties we face, and He prays that we would remain secure in the Father’s name, united with one another and grounded in truth. We are not forgotten in hard places. We are kept, even when life feels uncertain. We are held, even when the world feels heavy. We are sent, not alone, but with the same love and purpose that carried Jesus Himself.

Grief Turned to Joy • John 16:16-33 ➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/3PAb1KQ Jesus speaks tenderly to a small, troubled group who feel like everything is slipping away, promising that their sorrow will turn to joy and that what feels like an ending is actually the beginning of something deeper and more alive. This is the strange way of God’s kingdom. It moves through loss into new creation. Jesus works through slow, quiet transformation that happens as we stay with Jesus through both tears and hope. Jesus has already overcome the world. Our sorrow will not last forever, and even now God is at work, turning what feels like weakness into something full of life and lasting joy.

We Are Not Left Alone • John 16:1-15 ➡️ Listen to Sunday’s sermon online here: https://bit.ly/4dndWAo Jesus prepares us for a difficult road. Faithfulness may bring opposition and sorrow. Yet Jesus promises that His leaving will not mean abandonment, because the Holy Spirit will come as our Helper and guide. The Spirit will keep pointing us back to Jesus, strengthening us and leading us into truth when we feel weak or uncertain. Christ still shepherds His people through the quiet, faithful work of the Spirit.
