First United Methodist Church of Isle of Palms is excited to continue expanding opportunities for people of all ages to participate in our Music Ministry!
Whether you have been involved in music for many years, are returning after some time away, or are simply looking for a new way to become involved in the life of the church, we invite you to consider one of our music ministries.
Chancel Choir
Our Chancel Choir provides musical leadership for Sunday worship and special services throughout the year. New singers are always welcome, and previous choral experience is not required.
Handbell Choir
Our Handbell Choir offers another wonderful opportunity to participate in worship and make music together. No previous handbell experience is necessary.
C.R.E.A.T.E.
Our children's music and worship arts ministry provides opportunities for children to experience music, instruments, worship, and other creative arts while discovering ways to share their gifts in the life of the church.
Special Music
Instrumentalists and vocalists who may not be able to participate in a weekly ensemble are also invited to share their gifts through solos, duets, small ensembles, and other special music opportunities throughout the year.
NEW — Instrumental Ensemble
We are excited to explore the formation of a new instrumental ensemble at First UMC!
We invite members of the congregation and community who play a band or orchestral instrument to consider participating. Flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, violin, viola, cello, percussion, and other instrumentalists are welcome.
The ensemble is planned to rehearse on Sundays from 4:30–5:30 p.m. and participate in worship approximately three to four times each year.
If you have an instrument that has been waiting for an opportunity to come back out of its case, this may be the perfect time!
Our Music Ministry is a place to **worship, create, serve, and grow together in faith and fellowship.** We hope to provide opportunities for everyone—from children to adults—to find a meaningful way to offer their musical gifts in worship.
