Pentecost in the Old Testament is the called the Feast of Weeks or Shavout It also celebrated when the law came down from heaven through Moses to the people of Israel.
in the New Testament, Pentecost 50 days after the dead of Christ, Holy Spirit came to the church.
Through Christ the age of the law was fulfilled and the new age is of the Spirit and Grace.
Holy Spirit came into His people empowering them to witness and live out the lives they were called to live. We live under that same Pentecost today.

The word says to "fight the good fight of faith". We have to war for what He has put in us. We have to press in hard to Christ in faith. It is by faith we grab hold of the promises of God.
