Hey, we know him!

Please keep Mario in your prayers this summer.

Mario - please make sure you come back and visit us! Maybe for our annual bazaar (hint! hint!).

This morning at Mass, Monsignor Michael introduced Mario Porreca, our summer seminarian.

Mario is a seminarian in formation for the priesthood at St. Vincent Seminary, where he serves in student leadership and assists in the liturgical life of the community.

Before entering seminary, Mario spent several years in the culinary profession and served as a sous chef at the Duquesne Club in downtown Pittsburgh. He later worked in media, marketing, and business consulting, speaking and training before large audiences—experiences that deepened his love for communication and now serve his desire to preach and share the Gospel.

Mario is grateful to spend this summer serving the parish communities of Mother of Sorrows Parish, St. John Baptist de La Salle Parish, and St. Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish under the leadership and guidance of Monsignor Michael Begolly.

He looks forward to getting to know the parish family, assisting at Mass and parish events, and growing through the daily rhythms of parish life.

Please be assured of Mario’s prayers, and please keep him in yours. And please introduce yourself and welcome him when you see him at Mass.

Welcome, Mario!

This morning, we celebrated the anniversary of Priestly ordination for Fr. Dan and Father Matthew, who were ordained 13 years ago today! Deacon Al celebrates his 11th anniversary on Friday!

The Christian Mothers hosted coffee and donuts after Mass this morning to celebrate.

We are grateful for their ministry at our Parish and wish them a happy anniversary this week!

Happy Feast Day of Saint Justin Martyr!

When challenged to explain his beliefs, St. Justin Martyr wrote plainly about the Eucharist in words that describe the Church's unchanging teaching.
