Our church had such a great time hosting an End of Summer Children's Event for our summer school students. The theme was "That's Who I Praise!" There was lots of singing and hand clapping and crafts and snacks! The children and the volunteers were blessed!

Some members of our church participated in a beautiful prayer walk after our service today, asking God's blessings of peace, direction, and protection, over students and all staff members. Please join us in prayer for all of the schools in our area. We live in dark times, and the most powerful thing that we can do as believers is to pray, trust, and believe that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we ask or think, according to His power that works within us. (Rev. Chris Ackerman) - Good morning, friends of the Alabama West-Florida Conference,

While tropical storm Bertha poses little threat to our conference, it Is a great reminder to make sure that our churches and individuals are Disaster Ready. Check out the below message from our Panhandle District Coordinator, Scott Gardonio.

With Tropical Disturbance Bertha currently in the Gulf and the potential for impacts to our area within the next 48 hours, now is the time to review your personal disaster preparedness plan.

Please take a few moments to ensure you are prepared for hurricane season by:

-Reviewing your personal and family emergency plan.
-Stocking essential supplies, including food, water, medications, and other necessities.
-Ensuring important documents are secure and easily accessible.
-Charging cell phones, battery packs, and other essential devices.
-Knowing your evacuation routes and following guidance from local, county, and state emergency management officials.
-Having multiple ways to receive weather alerts and emergency notifications.
-Please remain weather aware and continue to monitor forecasts as conditions may change.

Happy 4th everyone! And, Happy 250th birthday to our nation! I love to travel and see new places, but it is good to be home. My visit to our 49th state was amazing! Alaska is filled with hidden treasures that declare the glory of God. My hope and prayer is that you had good times today and made new memories to fill your heart and soul! If you do not have a church family, we invite you all to join us for worship in the morning at 9:30. We have a wonderful service planned praising our Lord and thanking Him for giving us this wonderful country. A reminder that we will receive Holy Communion together and continue our study of the book of Judges.
