Sacred Heart of Jesus Church Irvington NJ A Roman Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Newark, NJ, serving the Polish and neighboring communities since 1925. Some families moved to Irvington.

The influx of Polish families came to New Jersey in difficult years before World War I. The Polish population of Newark grew and expanded. As their number increased St. Stanislaus and St. Casimir’s parishes had the difficult task of caring for them. Therefore on October 20, 1925 Bishop John J. O’Connor of Newark appointed an associate priest from St. Casimir’s parish in Newark, Rev. Metislaus Lank

au, as founding pastor of the new parish in Irvington. Sacred Heart of Jesus Church continues to keep the strong faith of the people and helps immigrants from Poland to feel at home in America. When America saw the decline of city life in the last thirty years, people of the Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus stayed with their church, even if they moved to other cities and suburbs. Today the Parish has a strong Polish and Polish-American community and welcomes all ethnic and racial groups, including Haitian, Nigerian, and Spanish. Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish is a beacon of hope for the Polish people and all who live in the neighborhood.

FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH
September 4th is the first Friday of the Month. The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, to followed by Holy Mass at 7:30 PM.
PIERWSZY PIĄTEK MIESIĄCA
4 września, w pierwszy piątek miesiąca, zapraszamy na wystawienie Najświętszego Sakramentu od godziny 6:30 PM do 7:30 PM. Na zakończenie wystawienia odbędzie się Msza święta ku czci Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa.

PIERWSZA SOBOTA
Nabożeństwo pierwszej soboty miesiąca, 5 września, rozpocznie się o godzinie 7:30 AM. Na zakończenie będzie Msza św. o godzinie 8:00 AM

Marszałka Parady Pułaskiego, panią Iwonę Korga. Pani Marszałek nałoży szarfy Marszałkowi naszego oddziału, Pani Natalii Wójcik oraz Miss Polonia, Lauren Peski.

Uroczystość będzie na zakończenie Mszy Św. o 9:00AM.

Prosimy o wykupywanie biletów na Paradę w
