COFFEE WITH THE PARSON:
The "fear of the Lord" is not a spirit of terror or trembling dread, but rather a profound sense of awe, reverence, and deep respect for our Creator's majesty and holiness. It’s the "beginning of wisdom," serving as a moral compass that draws us toward righteousness and humility by acknowledging God as the ultimate authority. As I sit by the pond I’m asking myself, “Am I at the Beginning?” Is my Lamp fulled of oil with my eyes looking up for my Masters return. Far from being a negative burden, this fear is a positive and life-giving state of mind & spirit, because it fosters a loving, trusting relationship with my best Friend & Father, leading to protection, provision, and a life lived with purpose. By aligning my heart fearfully with the wisdom of Christ, I learn that this reverent fear acts as a fountain in life that helps us turn away from destructive paths and walk in peace and integrity reaching others with the Gospel.
