Good morning,
God is not seeking outward performance or empty religious acts; He is looking for hearts that are honest, humble, and surrendered. True repentance is not merely feeling sorrow for sin, but allowing God to cleanse, restore, and renew us from the inside out. When we come before Him with a broken and contrite heart, He does not reject us—He restores us. God delights in truth within us and offers mercy, forgiveness, and renewed joy to those who turn fully toward Him. Repentance and consecration invite us into deeper intimacy with God. As we allow Him to search our hearts, cleanse our motives, and realign our desires, we are renewed in spirit and restored in joy. Consecration means setting ourselves apart for God’s purposes—yielding our hearts, minds, and lives to Him daily. When we surrender fully, God upholds us by His Spirit and leads us in righteousness, joy, and steadfast faithfulness.
Prayer: Compassionate and merciful God, we come before You with humble and surrendered hearts. You desire truth in our innermost being, so search us and cleanse us completely. Create in us clean hearts and renew right and steadfast spirits within us. Wash us from every stain of sin and restore to us the joy of Your salvation. We lay down every form of self-reliance and offer You the sacrifice You desire—a broken and contrite heart. Consecrate us anew for Your purposes and uphold us by Your Spirit. Let our lives be holy, surrendered, and pleasing in Your sight. In the mighty and gracious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalms 51:10-12 NIV
You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.
Psalms 51:16-17 NIV
