As Hurricane Isaias approaches, we are reminded of something powerful. The name Isaias comes from Isaiah, meaning “Yahweh is salvation.”
Today, we are standing together in faith and lifting up our community in prayer.
Heavenly Father,
in the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You asking for Your hand of protection over every family, every home, and every community in the path of this storm.
Lord, we speak peace over every anxious heart and every fearful mind. Let Your presence fill our homes, and let the peace of the Holy Spirit rest upon our communities.
We pray that You would calm the winds, weaken this storm, and turn away from harm. Place Your hand upon our first responders, emergency workers, and leaders. Give them wisdom, strength, and protection in the days ahead.
Father, remind us that fear does not have the final word. You are still on the throne! You are our refuge, our strength, and our ever-present help in times of trouble.
Let this be a time when neighbors come together, families grow stronger, and hearts turn to You. May those who do not yet know You experience Your love, Your peace, and Your saving grace.
We declare that our hope is not in the forecast, but in the faithfulness of our God!
