We were honored to welcome Aalimah Sarah Ahmed for a book signing during the VRIC Women’s Committee’s It Takes a Village event!

Books have a beautiful way of bringing people together, sparking meaningful conversations, and reminding us of the importance of community. It was wonderful to have Sarah Ahmed join us and give our sisters an opportunity to connect with her, get their books signed, and celebrate the power of stories.

At the heart of It Takes a Village is the reminder that none of us are meant to do it all alone. Whether it’s raising children, supporting one another, or building a stronger community, we thrive when we come together.

Jazak Allahu khairan to Sarah Ahmed for being part of this special gathering, and to all the sisters who joined us and helped make the day so meaningful.

✨ Light Upon Light ✨

Last night, our sisters gathered for an evening of Qur’an recitation and reflection centered around Sakinah.

A beautiful evening of listening, reflecting, and reconnecting with the words of Allah.

Alhamdulillah for the opportunity to come together around the Qur’an. May Allah place sakinah in our hearts and accept this gathering from us all. Ameen. 🤲🏼

Our Women’s Committee took Game Night to the next level with an Escape Room! 🧩🔑

From solving clues and cracking codes to a whole lot of teamwork, laughter, and “wait…try this!” moments, it was such a fun evening spent with our sisters.

Alhamdulillah for opportunities to step away from the everyday, connect with one another, and make memories together. 💕

✨ Picnic Under the Stars ✨

Alhamdulillah for such a beautiful evening of sisterhood under the stars!
Tonight, our sisters gathered at The Sound at Cypress Waters for a simple picnic that turned into something so special. Everyone brought their own picnic favorites, shared food, shared laughs, and most importantly, shared beautiful moments together.

Sometimes the sweetest gatherings are simply about slowing down, sitting together, and enjoying one another’s company. 🫶🏽

May Allah continue to bless our sisterhood, strengthen the bonds between us, and make our gatherings a source of joy, friendship, and barakah. Ameen.
