Happy Ridván from the Bahá’ís of Irving!🌹

Today marks the beginning of Riḍván, the holiest festival in the Bahá’í calendar. Over the next twelve days, Bahá’ís around the world celebrate this joyful occasion, known as the “King of Festivals.”
Riḍván commemorates the time in 1863 when Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, declared His mission as a Messenger of God in the Garden of Riḍván near Baghdad. The word Riḍván means Paradise, symbolizing a time of spiritual renewal, unity, and hope for all humanity.
During these sacred days, we reflect on themes of peace, oneness, and service, and we come together with family and friends in a spirit of joy and gratitude.
We wish our community and friends a blessed and joyful Ridván! 🌹

🌸 Joyous Naw-Rúz Celebration – Irving Bahá’í Community 🌸
Last evening, the Irving Bahá’í Community joyfully gathered to celebrate Naw-Rúz, the Bahá’í New Year and the first day of spring—a time of renewal, hope, and new beginnings.
Naw-Rúz follows the Bahá’í Fast and marks a spiritual and seasonal fresh start, inviting us to reflect, grow, and turn our hearts toward unity and service.
The evening was especially meaningful with beautiful programs thoughtfully prepared by our youth, whose efforts brought inspiration, creativity, and joy to all in attendance. Their contributions truly made the celebration shine.
Our gathering was filled with uplifting music and songs, delicious food, and warm fellowship, creating a welcoming space where everyone felt connected and uplifted.
It was a night of joy, gratitude, and togetherness, celebrating not only the arrival of a new year but the strength of our community.
✨ Wishing all a year filled with peace, unity, and abundant blessings. Happy Naw-Rúz! ✨

✨ Fundraiser Evening of Fellowship and Giving ✨
Last night, the Bahá’í community of Irving gathered for a joyful and successful fundraiser in support of the Bahá’í Fund. The evening began with breaking the Fast together, sharing a beautiful potluck dinner in a spirit of fellowship, gratitude, and love.
The program was enriched by uplifting music shared by our children and youth, bringing joy and inspiration to everyone present. One of our youth also hosted a fun and engaging Kahoot game, where we learned interesting facts about the Bahá’í Fund and reflected on the spirit and purpose of giving.
We were reminded of these beautiful words:
“We must be like the fountain or spring that is continually emptying itself of all that it has and is continually being refilled from an invisible source. To be continually giving out for the good of our fellows… this is the secret of right living.”
— Shoghi Effendi
We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to making the evening such a meaningful gathering. May the spirit of generosity, fellowship, and service continue to inspire our community. 💛

A Joyous Ayyám-i-Há Celebration in Irving 🌟
Our hearts are full of gratitude following the beautiful Ayyám-i-Há celebration hosted at the Iskandar's home. It was truly a joyous and uplifting evening that brought together friends of all ages in a spirit of love and fellowship.

We were especially proud of our youth, who prepared a wonderful and thoughtful program. The evening was filled with music, singing, and joyful games that delighted children and adults alike — the laughter and smiles said it all! The delicious dinner and warm fellowship made the gathering even more special as we celebrated these Days of Joy and Giving together.

In the true spirit of Ayyám-i-Há, food donations were also collected to benefit the Irving Schools Foundation, reflecting the beautiful focus on generosity and service to our community..

As we reflect on this blessed time, we are reminded of the guidance from the Writings:
“It behoveth the people of Bahá throughout these days to provide good cheer for themselves, their kindred and, beyond them, the poor and needy…” — Bahá’u’lláh

May the spirit of generosity, unity, and joy that filled our gathering continue to inspire us in the days ahead. 💛

Our Baha'i youth singing "The Tree of Eternity" by Baháʼu'lláh at the Twin Holy Days celebration.

QUOTE:

"Thus doth the nightingale
utter his call unto you from this prison.
Verily He is the Tree
of Life That bringeth forth the fruits of God

He hath but to deliver this clear message
Whomsoever desireth let him turn aside
Whomsoever desireth let him choose the path
To his Lord

Lo the nightingale of paradise singeth upon the twigs of the Tree.
Of Eternity.

And if thou art overtaken by affliction in my path
Be not troubled thereby
Be thou as a flame of fire to my enemies
be not of those who doubt.

He hath but to deliver this clear message
Whomsoever desireth let him turn aside
Whomsoever desireth let him choose the path
To his Lord

Lo the nightingale of paradise singeth upon the twigs of the Tree.
Of Eternity."

-Baha'u'llah

🌍🕊️ Celebrating Peace in Irving Texas! 🕊️🌍
The Bahá’í Faith of Irving was honored to be part of the UN International Day of Peace celebration organized by the Interfaith Alliance of Irving on September 20.

Our children and youth shared songs, prayers, and music along with Children from diverse faiths .We had a Baha'i booth with activity for the children to participate in and to get a stamp on their Interfaith Passports.

Events like these give us hope and a glimpse of what is possible when people of all faiths and backgrounds come together to work for love, harmony, and understanding.

Bahá’u’lláh said:
“So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth.”

Thank you to Mayor Rick Stopfer , the Irving City Council, and all who supported and attended this special day. May we continue to build bridges of friendship and work together for lasting peace. 🌟
