Summer 26 started exactly how we hoped it would.

No stage. No rush. No pressure to perform. Just people slowing down long enough to actually be together.

Kids running around.
Conversations at picnic tables.
New friendships forming.
People laughing like they’ve known each other for years.

This is what church looks like outside the building too.

Thankful for every person who came, brought food, stayed awhile, and helped make today feel like family.

Still Together. 🌳☀️

Yesterday was one for the books.

we worshipped, we remembered, we slowed down.

this weekend marked the first time we honored bereaved mother’s day at awaken and it was something we’ll never forget. a quiet, meaningful moment to see and stand with moms carrying a grief most people never see.

We’re grateful for a church that makes space for both joy and grief…

May 3 is Bereaved Mother’s Day.

It’s a day set apart for mothers who have lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or at any age. These are moms who often carry that grief quietly, and rarely get acknowledged on a day like Mother’s Day.

Irving, we see you.

At Awaken Church, we believe no one should sit in their grief alone. So tomorrow, May 3, during our 9:30a and 11:00a worship experiences, we’re creating space to slow down, honor these moms, and pray over them. No pressure. No spotlight. Just a room full of people who want to show up for you.
