When Dickson Paulo arrived at our Chauwa outreach, his family came looking for medical support.

Our team found that Dickson was underweight and suffering from diarrhea, signs that his little body needed more than just a checkup.

We started him on RUTF, a nutrient-rich therapeutic food that helps children recover from severe malnutrition.

Today, Dickson is doing better.

This is why we keep showing up in communities across Malawi.

Malawi faces serious challenges with hunger and poverty. Most people rely on farming, but extreme weather like droughts and floods often ruins crops.

The faces of hunger are so broad on children in Malawi especially in rural areas.

Through our nutrition assessment outreaches, we identify children with malnutrition and those at risk and begin them on our RUTF treatment which is nutritious and lif saving.

Football, laughter, and the Gospel, that's a typical Saturday for our Sports Outreach team.

We show up on dusty pitches across Malawi, not just to play, but to build trust with children and families before we ever measure a single arm with a MUAC tape.

Did you know a child can be malnourished and still look "chubby"?

Severe acute malnutrition can cause oedema, fluid retention that swells the body and masks how sick a child really is.

It's one reason our team never relies on sight alone. Every child is measured with a MUAC tape, weighed, and properly screened because malnutrition doesn't always look the way you'd expect.

Meet Clara Lyton, from chilima village. When our team first screened her during a routine Nutrition Assessment, her MUAC tape read red, severe acute malnutrition.

Her mother had walked over an hour carrying her, hoping someone could help after learning about our under five assessment program from the village health voluteer.

Within days, she was enrolled on Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), and our team began weekly follow-ups to track her progress.

Today, she is stronger, playing, and smiling again.

Stories like hers are why we do this work and why we keep going back.
