Christ Our Redeemer AME Church Christ Our Redeemer African Methodist Episcopal Church (COR) is the largest A.M.E. Church in Orange County. Presently, over 2,000 multi-racial members. Mark E.

Since 1991, over 3,700 men, women, and children have connected with COR to belong to an ethnically diverse group of congregants seeking to shape their behavior in line with their belief in Jesus, Christ as their Lord and Savior. On Sunday, February 3, 1991, Rev. Linda Parker, Gwen Oden, and 25 other believers founded COR on the University of California, Irvine (UCI) campus under the auspices of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Fifth Episcopal District. Led by a series of pastors (Rev. Douglas Patterson, Rev. Parcel Hector, Rev. Crystalline Weaver, and Rev. Edgar Jones), from 1992 through 1998, COR moved to various Orange County locations. Breaking the string of pastors in August 1998, Rev. Whitlock, Jr. was appointed to lead COR and its 10-member congregation where they moved to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Irvine and worshiped at 3P on Sundays. COR eventually was blessed to purchase its own facility at 46 Maxwell, and later 45 Tesla, Irvine California. In October, 2019, Reverend Dr. Ralph E. Williamson was appointed pastor at COR. Rev. Williamson had previously been pastor at FAME Las Vegas over the last 16 years. Williamson led COR through the difficult year of 2020 which included several crises; COVID-19 pandemic, Economic collapse, and civil and political unrest.

THEME: LABORERS FOR THE HARVEST!

This Sunday was fruitful indeed! What a glorious time in the presence of the Lord! The saints gathered together in unity and harmony, with sounds of jubilee saturating the atmosphere. The joy of the Lord was truly in our midst!

Pastor Ralph delivered a powerful Word from Matthew 9:37–38, reminding us that “the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few.” The call is clear: there is work to be done in the Kingdom, and we are ready to answer!

We also had the joy of welcoming new members into our church family! What a beautiful reminder that God is still gathering His people and adding to His Church.

Our hearts are full of gratitude for all that God is doing. The harvest is plentiful, the fields are ready, and we are committed to being laborers for His glory!

The harvest is ready. The laborers are rising. The Kingdom is advancing!

Growing Together, One Plant at a Time!

Christ Our Redeemer AME
Women’s Missionary Socitey Paint & Sip, held today in the beautiful City of Irvine.

What a beautiful day filled with smiles, creativity, connection, and community! Our gathering was a reminder that just like plants, we all need nurturing, love, and the right environment to grow and flourish.

Every plant represents growth, resilience, and new beginnings—a beautiful reflection of what happens when we come together to share, learn, and uplift one another.

Together, we are planting seeds of joy, wellness, and meaningful connections! 🌻
