Please take a moment to read through the FAQ's and responses. We think this is the best way to communicate who we are and what we are about. A: Yes and no. We are a ministry on campus, but we are not like other ‘campus ministries’. There are no small groups, additional programs or meetings, or commitments. The other ministries on campus seem to have this area covered pretty well. Q: Why do you fee
l a need to be on campus if there are already other ‘campus ministries’? A: We see a need to mobilize and meet young Christ-followers where they are, and that’s on campus. We see a need to encourage them during the week and to provide a place where they can be taught, pray, and worship. We are not a substitute for the local church; nor are we an alternative for existing ministries on campus. Q: Will we be asked to give financially? A: No. “The Twenty Walk” is not affiliated with any other organization and is operated by volunteers. Q: What will the meeting look like? A: Each gathering will have a teaching and corporate worship. What we do is very similar to a worship service at your church. You will meet and talk with new people each week. We will make sure of that. Our desire is that you connect with God and other Believers at each gathering. Q: What is the organizational structure? A: The leadership consists of student leaders/officers and a lead pastor. Visit the website for more info on the speaker/pastor
Q: Can anyone attend? A: Yes, but keep in mind that our meetings are designed as worship services for Believers but anyone is welcome. Disclaimer: We do not exist so that you can invite an ‘unsaved’ friend to hear the Gospel, although our messages are Christ-centered. We believe that’s your responsibility, and you will be challenged and equipped to do that. Inviting a friend to church is much easier and convenient than inviting him/her into the deepest part of your life and heart, but that’s exactly what Christ has called us to do. Q: Why is the ministry called “The Twenty Walk”? A: The transition into the twenties is monumental to say the least. You are no longer technically a ‘teen’ and are on your way to becoming an adult. Many of you will feel lost and scared of what the future holds. You will question your identity and worth, and you will struggle spiritually. We know the journey is difficult and often lonely, but you don’t have to walk it alone. We will not always be there for you but Christ will. We want to help you grow deeper in your understanding of who God is and how He desires you to live for Him.
