Irvine United Congregational Church is radically inclusive, declaring to neighbors and strangers alike. No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here. We celebrate the Creator’s diversity as we worship God and grow in our faith. Guided by God’s unconditional love as taught by Jesus Christ, we see ourselves as children of one God, brothers and sisters of all people.

As servants of God, we take responsibility to act with compassion, to work for peace and justice, and to share the joy of Christian community.

Being part of the IUCC community means two things: fostering relationships with one another and embracing a church that is intentionally diverse, inclusive, and committed to seeking justice. We find our purpose in Micah 6:8 – to seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

Youth Sunday at IUCC! The children and youth of our Ministry with Young People, led by Pastor Rachel Crawford, led both services today from the call to worship, to prayerful reflections, music solos, and everything in between. We reflected on the theme of "togetherness" and how we can come together across all generations to live out our Micah 6:8 mission.

Reflecting on Jesus breaking of bread, and sharing the fruit of the vine, we're reminded of life's sweetness and God's abundant blessings. All are invited to a welcoming table to partake.

Instead of giving answers, we equipped our confirmands with tools for self-discovery. By studying the Methodist tradition and the Wesleyan Quadrilateral, they learned the interplay of scripture, tradition, reason, and experience. Wisdom emerges from intentional reflection, conversation, and prayer.

Photos from Confirmation Sunday at IUCC!

Jonah and Jennifer went through a weeks-long Confirmation class with Pastor Rachel Crawford, our Director of Ministry with Young People, learning about the history of Christianity, the different denominational streams, and the polity of the United Church of Christ.

We're so proud of our confirmands!

We often see the heart as the seat of emotions. But in Hebrew, 'lev' or 'levav' signifies the center of thought, decision-making, and spiritual life. It's not separate from the mind; it encompasses our values, desires, and choices. Let your heart and mind hold fast to these words.

You've studied scripture, explored theology, and discerned your Christian faith. After prayer, reflection, and growth, the final question is before you: do you wish to confirm your baptism?

Why did reformers and pilgrims forge new paths? Understanding their faith's streams explains the origins of denominations like the United Church of Christ and this very church's history.

Photos from the Gospel Project on May 30th with Singers of Soul!

Founded and led by Dedrick Bonner, Singers of Soul is a vibrant vocal collective with roots in both Los Angeles and New York. Blending gospel, soul, and contemporary music, they are known for their signature “wall of sound” — layered harmonies, featured soloists, and full-bodied choral energy that fills the room.

More than a performance group, Singers of Soul is a true community. Their work centers on inclusivity, joy, and shared human experience, creating spaces where all voices belong. Whether reimagining beloved classics or delivering original arrangements, their performances are deeply moving, uplifting, and undeniably fun.
