Missioner Monday: St. George's Day at The Cathedral Domain and Easter 4 at St. Mary's, Middlesboro. The theme this week from the perspective of your Canon Missioner is that God is the giver of all good gifts!
The movement of the Spirit at St. George's Day was clear. New beginnings through commissionings of ministries, positions, and for the Summer Camp leadership, paired well with the Confirmation of four souls into the Episcopal tradition - amen and thanks be to God! Moments of gratitude for Bishop Mark and Mother Helen's ministries in not only the DioLex, but the broader Anglican Communion with the visitation of Bishop Manuel of the Diocese of Nampula in Mozambique, allowed us all to offer thanks, led by the Transition Committee's thoughtful gifts.
I also snapped a picture of the new Executive Director of the Domain, Justin Vogel, and his two youngest kids, working literally hand-in-hand behind the scenes with the Domain Staff to make this beautiful event happen. Thank you!
Sunday with St. Mary's, Middlesboro, including a newly Confirmed member, met for worship, alleluias, and were surrounded by the beauty of the church grounds cultivated by the talented members of this faith community.
For the gifts that we have been given, we give thanks and praise!
