Last year, for the first time, we observed Ash Wednesday — a historic Christian practice that marks the beginning of Lent.
Ash Wednesday reminds us of our mortality and brokenness, symbolized by the cross of ashes placed on our foreheads. But it also proclaims the victory of Jesus — that though we live in a world marked by death, Christ has overcome it.
Lent is a 40-day journey leading to Easter. During this time, we intentionally abstain from things that pull us toward spiritual death and instead focus on the life God offers.
Psalm 119:37 guides us:
“Turn my eyes away from worthless things; give me life in Your ways.”
Join us this Wednesday at 7PM for worship, reflection, and the Ash Wednesday service. Adult gathering and children’s program available — we’ll close the night together as one church family.
Let’s fix our eyes on Life.
