JCFN - Japanese Christian Fellowship Network 北米本部:Irvine, CA
日本事務所:OCC(お茶の水クリスチャンセンター)ビ?

JCFN is an evangelical Christian network which seeks to conduct and promote the follow up of primarily Japanese Christians and seekers of God, who move from Japan to a foreign country and back again and who have requested

an introduction to a fellowship or church. We also encourage the evangelism and discipling of Japanese people while they are living abroad and assist organizations and individuals who share the same burden as JCFN.

[Prayer Warrior: This week's prayer requests]

We praise the precious name of the Lord.
Let us continue to pray in unity this week.

August & September Prayer Theme: “For Staff Candidates & Associate Staff” – Prayer Requests from Staff Candidates and Associate Staff
◎(Tokyo: Roberta Peabody) Please pray that I will be given strength and good health during the intense summer heat.
◎(EC, California: Esther Kamura) Please pray that I will be able to hear the Lord’s voice.

Prayer requests from the Japan Office:
◎A small group host gathering will be held at the Japan Office on Saturday, September 5. Please pray that it will be a good time of sharing and encouragement.
◎Please continue to pray for everyone who has been affected by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, the heavy rains in Chiba, and the series of heavy rains that struck the Hokuriku region (Ishikawa, Toyama, and Fukui) last week. Also pray that the recovery and reconstruction efforts will proceed smoothly.
◎Please pray for the preparations for the Global Returnees Conference (GRC), which is scheduled to be held during Golden Week next year. Also pray that each member of the preparation committee will be equipped and prepared for the work ahead.
◎The fall semester ministries are beginning to restart: WINGS (9/5), APU Furai-Day (beginning 9/11), and JXJ (9/19). Please pray that the leaders and volunteers serving in these ministries will be blessed, that they will be able to build good connections with new international students through these gatherings, and that the Gospel will be shared.
◎Associate Staff Member Kaori Redington has been approved as a staff candidate, and her deputation in Japan will begin soon. Please pray that prayer and financial supporters will be raised for her and the other staff candidate, Akari Hirase. (Yu Hoshino was appointed as Japan Staff effective September 1! We give thanks to the Lord.)
◎JCFN will be vacating its office by the end of September. Please pray that the moving process will go smoothly, that a new location will be found, and that this will be a smooth transition period.
◎Please pray for the Tsuchida family’s green card application process (their current visa is valid until May 2027). New announcements from the U.S. government continue to be made, and the process has become increasingly difficult. We continue to wait while watching developments, so please continue to pray that a way forward will open.
◎Please pray that God’s peace and reconciliation will be brought to a world in conflict. Pray that comfort and protection will be given to those in war-torn areas, and that the Church will be a light that demonstrates the love of Christ.

May your unfailing love come to me, Lord,
your salvation, according to your promise; (Psalm 119:41)

We pray along with each supplication, in the name of the Lord Jesus Chirst.

Amen

JCFN Moving Out Giveaway!!! 🎁

Our North America office in Santa Ana will be closing at the end of September!
(But don’t worry—JCFN is definitely not going anywhere! 😂)

So, we’re currently sorting through everything in the office. We have quite a few books and other resources on our bookshelves that we’d love to give to anyone who could use them.

If you’re interested, please send me a DM! Priority will be given to those who are able to come by the office in Santa Ana to pick them up.

Thank you, and we hope these resources can find a new home! 😊

Prayer requests from the Japan Office:
◎Tsu-Na-Gu (Chugoku area in Japan) will meet in person on Saturday, August 29. Please pray that it will be a blessed and encouraging time of learning and fellowship.
◎Re-Conn Returnee Café (Tokyo) will be held on Saturday, August 29. Please pray that it will be a meaningful time of fellowship for returnees.

Prayer requests from the North America Office:
◎The Michigan Bible Camp concluded with great blessing. This camp, which was started to encourage the faith of Japanese people living in Michigan, was held for the 29th time this year. It is a camp that is experiencing a generational transition, as children who grew up attending the camp have become adults and a second generation has begun serving. Japanese immigrant families, international couples, Japanese expatriate families, and Americans with a heart for Japan all participated, and were encouraged through God’s Word in a bilingual program. Please pray that this camp will continue to be used for spiritual growth, evangelism, and raising up the next generation, and that the necessary workers will be provided.
◎The fall semester is beginning. Ministries such as JXJ, WINGS, and APU Friday are restarting or continuing. Please pray that the leaders and volunteers serving in these ministries will be blessed, that they will be able to build good connections with new international students through these gatherings, and that the Gospel will be shared.
◎Associate Staff Member Kaori Reddington has been approved as a staff candidate, and her deputation in Japan will begin soon. Please pray that prayer and financial supporters will be raised for her, as well as for the other two staff candidates, Yu Hoshino and Akari Hirase.
