[Prayer Warrior: This week's prayer requests]
We praise the precious name of the Lord.
Let us continue to pray in unity this week.
August & September Prayer Theme: “For Staff Candidates & Associate Staff” – Prayer Requests from Staff Candidates and Associate Staff
◎(Chugoku: Etsuko Hotta) Please pray that our family’s spiritual lives and health will be protected, and that both the online and in-person Tsu-Na-Gu gatherings will be used and blessed as gatherings through which the kingdom of God is expanded.
Prayer requests from the Japan Office:
◎Tsu-Na-Gu (Chugoku area in Japan) will meet in person on Saturday, August 29. Please pray that it will be a blessed and encouraging time of learning and fellowship.
◎Re-Conn Returnee Café (Tokyo) will be held on Saturday, August 29. Please pray that it will be a meaningful time of fellowship for returnees.
◎Please continue to pray for everyone who has been affected by the earthquake that struck Kumamoto and the heavy rains in Chiba last week. Also pray that the recovery and reconstruction efforts will proceed smoothly.
◎Please pray for the preparations for the Global Returnees Conference (GRC), which is scheduled to be held during Golden Week next year. Also pray that each member of the preparation committee will be equipped and prepared for the work ahead.
Prayer requests from the North America Office:
◎The Michigan Bible Camp concluded with great blessing. This camp, which was started to encourage the faith of Japanese people living in Michigan, was held for the 29th time this year. It is a camp that is experiencing a generational transition, as children who grew up attending the camp have become adults and a second generation has begun serving. Japanese immigrant families, international couples, Japanese expatriate families, and Americans with a heart for Japan all participated, and were encouraged through God’s Word in a bilingual program. Please pray that this camp will continue to be used for spiritual growth, evangelism, and raising up the next generation, and that the necessary workers will be provided.
◎The fall semester is beginning. Ministries such as JXJ, WINGS, and APU Friday are restarting or continuing. Please pray that the leaders and volunteers serving in these ministries will be blessed, that they will be able to build good connections with new international students through these gatherings, and that the Gospel will be shared.
◎Associate Staff Member Kaori Reddington has been approved as a staff candidate, and her deputation in Japan will begin soon. Please pray that prayer and financial supporters will be raised for her, as well as for the other two staff candidates, Yu Hoshino and Akari Hirase.
◎Please pray for the Tsuchida family’s green card application process (their current visa is valid until May 2027). New announcements from the U.S. government continue to be made, and the process has become increasingly difficult. We continue to wait while watching developments, so please continue to pray that a way forward will open.
◎Please pray that God’s peace and reconciliation will be brought to a world in conflict. Pray that comfort and protection will be given to those in war-torn regions, and that the Church will be a light that demonstrates the love of Christ.
"It is God’s will that you should be sanctified." (1Thessalonians 4:3)
We pray along with each supplication, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen
