🏰 An Epic Adventure Awaits! 🏰

Calling all kids from kindergarten through 5th Grade!

Join us for Kingdom Quest, an exciting Vacation Bible School journey to discover God’s kingdom.

Here is what you need to know:
When: June 21st – June 24th

Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM each evening.

Where: Irvine First Church of the Nazarene (280 Broadway Street, Irvine).

What: Music, lessons, recreation, and refreshments!

Special guest Children’s Pastor Trevor Lanz from Huntington, WV, will be leading our music and lessons.

Note: Pre-school aged children or younger are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Due to a remodel project going on in the basement of our church, there will be no services Wednesday, May 27th. We hope to be back to a normal schedule by this Sunday, May 31st.

Betty Bowles Plowman

Betty Bowles Plowman, age 79, of Summit Drive in Irvine, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Compassionate Care Center. She was born December 5, 1946, in Estill County, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Eudell Sparks Bowles. She was a retired cook and had lived in Estill County most of her life. She is survived by:

1 daughter: Shauna Renae Mullins

1 son: Perry Scott Dixon

2 sisters: Barbara Puckett

Rosemary (John) Nutter

1 brother: Roger (Wanda) Bowles

6 grandchildren: Bethany Mullins, Jordan Dixon, Haley Mullins, Elijah Dixon, Hannah Dixon, and Trenton Mullins

5 great grandchildren: Cameon, Camyl, Carma, Bryson, and Myles

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Plowman, her daughter-in-law: Mechelle Dennis Dixon, 2 sisters, Phyllis Bond, Delores Richardson, and 2 brothers, Bobby Bowles, and Tommy Bowles.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 28, 1 PM at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Webster officiating. Burial will be at the Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Pallbearers: Trenton Mullins, Jordan Dixon, Elijah Dixon, Chandler Watson, Jason Bowles, and Caden Bowles

Honorary Pallbearers: Jeff Puckett, Drew Tuggle, and Tim Bowles
