A special grace was bestowed upon our community this past Sunday as we celebrated the official enshrinement of a first-class relic of St. Maximilian Kolbe for the future Our Lady of Peace Korean Catholic Shrine.

Reflecting on this blessing, Fr. Daniel Seo | Priest shared how St. Maximilian’s heroic witness, standing firm in love and faith amidst severe suffering, hostility, and persecution, resonates deeply with our spiritual mission. His life reflects the incredible endurance of our own Korean Martyrs, who similarly faced brutal trials and persecution to preserve the Faith and pass down the joy of the Gospel.

Having lived through totalitarian persecution, St. Maximilian models the love of Christ to a world in need of healing and conversion. As we work toward building and establishing our shrine, his witness inspires us to hold fast to our faith and pray earnestly for all those who are persecuted or living without access to the Sacraments and the comfort of the Church.

We are truly honored to receive his first-class relic as a spiritual foundation for our future shrine. May St. Maximilian Kolbe and the Holy Korean Martyrs intercede for our community, strengthen our faith, and guide us as we build this sacred space.

지난 주일, 우리 공동체는 미래의 평화의 모후 한인 성모성지를 위한 성 막시밀리아노 콜베 성인의 1급 유해를 공식적으로 현시하고 모시는 특별한 은총을 받았습니다.

이 축복을 되새기며, 신부님께서는 극심한 고통과 적대, 박해 속에서도 사랑과 신앙 안에 굳건히 서서 영웅적인 증거의 삶을 살아간 성 막시밀리아노의 모습이 우리 공동체의 영적 사명과 깊이 맞닿아 있다고 말씀하셨습니다. 그의 삶은 신앙을 지키고 복음의 기쁨을 다음 세대에 전하기 위해 잔혹한 시련과 박해를 견뎌낸 한국의 순교 성인들의 놀라운 인내와도 깊이 닮아 있습니다.

공산주의의 박해를 직접 겪은 성 막시밀리아노는 치유와 회개가 필요한 세상에 그리스도의 사랑을 보여주는 모범이 되었습니다. 우리 성지를 건립하고 봉헌해 나가는 여정에서 그의 증거는 우리에게 신앙을 굳게 지키고, 박해받고 있는 이들과 성사에 대한 접근과 교회의 위로를 받지 못한 채 살아가는 모든 이들을 위해 간절히 기도하도록 우리를 격려합니다.

우리의 미래 성지를 위한 영적 토대가 될 성 막시밀리아노 콜베 성인의 1급 유해를 모시게 된 것은 참으로 큰 영광입니다. 성 막시밀리아노 콜베 성인과 한국의 순교 성인들이 우리 공동체를 위하여 전구하시어, 주님께서 우리의 신앙을 굳건하게 하시고, 우리가 이 거룩한 성지를 건립해 나가는 길을 이끌어 주시기를 기도합니다.

Today we give thanks to Almighty God for the 7th anniversary of Father Daniel's ordination to the holy priesthood.

Please join us in praying that Our Lord will continue to strengthen Father Daniel in his priestly ministry and grant him many years of faithful service to His Church.

We also ask your prayers for an increase in holy vocations. May generous young men hear the voice of Christ and faithfully answer His call.

O Jesus, Eternal High Priest, sanctify Your priests and raise up many holy vocations. Amen.

As we conclude May, the month of our Mother Mary, we honor our Blessed Mother with love and gratitude. The crowning of Our Lady reminds us that Mary reigns not through power, but through her perfect faith, humility, and devotion to God. May we continue to look to her example and entrust our hearts to her maternal care throughout the year.

This lenten season, we warmly invite you to spend sacred time with our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

Our 33-Hour Eucharistic Adoration is being held from Tuesday, March 3rd at 7:00 AM until Wednesday, March 4th at 4:00 PM. During these blessed hours, we gather in prayer, silence, and devotion before Jesus Christ, truly present in the Eucharist.

This time of adoration is especially dedicated to the building of Our Lady of Peace Shrine and for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

May this be a time of grace, renewal, and deeper communion with Him. All are welcome to come, pray, and remain with the Lord.

This Sunday (2/08) is the last day to register in person for our parish Montreal · Quebec Pilgrimage!!

In celebration of the Feast of St. Joseph (May 1), we invite you to join a prayerful pilgrimage to St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal and the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré in Quebec. We hope many of you can share in this grace-filled journey together.

Happy Solemnity of Our Lady of Peace! 🕊️💕

We celebrate 16 years as a Korean Catholic community under our Blessed Mother’s protection. We are grateful for the many graces received through her intercession and for all those praying for our parish and the building of our new shrine.

Our previous post shares the special prayer composed for the shrine. Please continue to pray along with us!

May Our Lady of Peace continue to lead us to the Sacred Heart and guide us on the way to victory.

평화의 모후 대축일을 기쁜 마음으로 축하드립니다!

저희 평화의 모후 한인 가톨릭 공동체가 복되신 어머니의 보호 아래 설립 16주년을 맞이하였습니다. 그동안 성모님의 전구를 통해 전해진 수많은 은총에 감사드리며, 저희 본당과 새로운 성지 건립을 위해 마음 모아 기도해 주시는 모든 분들께 깊은 감사를 올립니다.
