God’s Work Our Hands today at SPLC. Following our morning worship service, we assembled nearly 70 personal care kits to send to Lutheran World Relief to be distributed to those in need worldwide after a disaster. Afterwards, pizza, salad, chips, and dessert were enjoyed by all. We were joined by Norm Staker from Bethel Lutheran in Russell, KY, and Pr. Tim from St. John Lutheran Church in Powellsville.
Service, food, and fellowship. It can’t be beat!

September 13 is “God’s Work, Our Hands” Sunday.
Again this year we will be putting personal care kits together, to be sent to Lutheran World Relief, for distribution to those in need after a disaster.
If you’d like to purchase some of the needed components here’s our Amazon Wish List. Each of the items chosen meet the requirements for the kits. You can order the items, pay for them, and specify that they be sent to the address on the list. She will get them to the church!
Monetary donations are welcome so that we can buy things we need for the kits.

Sorting and packing school supplies for our annual Tools 4 Schools project. They’ll be delivered to Ironton, Rock Hill, and Dawson-Bryant schools this week.
(There were a bunch of people who stayed after church services today to help, but we forgot to get pictures until many had left. Oops!)
