It’s hard to believe it has been three weeks since the devastating flooding that impacted Lewis County and Upshur County. ❤️ In the midst of so much loss and uncertainty, we have seen God’s presence, love, and faithfulness shining through our community. He has continued to work through the hearts and hands of so many people, reminding us that even in the darkest moments, we are never alone.
From serving a meal to putting together blessing bags filled with love and encouragement, our church and community have come together to bring smiles, comfort, and hope to those in need.
We are especially thankful for our church family and community members who came together to donate items, fill the blessing bags, and make this outreach possible. Every bag was filled with more than just supplies—it was filled with love, prayers, and a reminder that our community cares. ❤️ We are so thankful for every person who gave their time, resources, prayers, and love to help remind others that they are not alone.
Here are a few pictures from our church family serving a meal to first responders, National Guard members, volunteers, and families affected by the flooding, as well as pictures of packing the blessing bags. ❤️
We continue to pray for every person impacted by the flooding, especially those in Lewis and Upshur Counties. 🙏
With more rain in the forecast this week, please continue to cover our communities in prayer. Pray for protection over every home and family, strength for those who are still recovering, and wisdom and safety for all those working tirelessly to help.
Lord, be near to those who are hurting. Give strength to those who are weary, peace to those who are afraid, and protection over our communities. May we continue to be Your hands and feet wherever You call us. ❤️🙏
