Back-to-School and Backpack Blessing is this weekend! Join us for worship at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, where there will be a special time to pray for our students, teachers/professors, school staff and administrators as the new school year begins. Students of all ages are invited to bring their (empty) backpacks for a blessing, and each student will receive a backpack blessing tag.

Join us on the South end of the lower level immediately following worship this Sunday, August 2 at 10:15 a.m. as we dedicate this refreshed space as our Youth Room! Coffee and goodies will be available, as well as an opportunity to tour the new space and offer a blessing to the students who will call it their own.

‼️CALL TO ACTION and ADVOCACY‼️

Join our friends at Escucha Mi Voz in supporting immigrant families at their ICE check-ins in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday, August 4. Meet at church at 6:30 a.m. to carpool to the Department of Immigration and Homeland Security Building by 7:30 a.m.
Remember to dress for the weather with comfortable clothes and shoes for standing, bring water to keep hydrated and a chair if you prefer to sit part of the two hours we are there. To sign up, please call or email the church office.
