Identity 🫆

If I were to ask you who you are, what would you say?

Do you know who you are in Christ? ✝️

So many times we get so wrapped up in our own thoughts, the things people have spoken over us or what the world says about us that we lose sight of the truth. Our identity becomes attached to the wrong things.

Knowing our true identity in Christ is what sets us free from the lies and false identities we carry.

Be apart of the discussion. Join us today after services at 1pm.

(2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV)

Flowers Grow In The Valley 🌷

Song of Solomon 2:1 ESV
[1] I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.

This verse highlights the beauty and the humility found in low places in life.

Sometimes in life we are so focused on the mountain and longing for the day that we make it to the top that we miss what God is doing in us when we are in the Valley.

Mountain tops have a beautiful view, they are moments of overcoming, and triumph, but these moments are temporary.

Real fruit grows in the valley, not on the mountain top.

To have a healthy balance in life, we need both.

If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, addictions, or self worth we would love for you to join us.

Sunday February 15th

Lamentations 3:40 invites us: “Let us examine our ways and return to the Lord.” This is not the time to shift blame. It’s the time to look with courage and say, “Yes, I allowed my heart to drift. I gave space to distractions. I tolerated deception. But today, I choose to return.”

Taking responsibility is not self-condemnation — it is maturity. It is the choice to grow. The psalmist prays boldly, “Search me, O God… see if there is any offensive way in me.” He understood that only the heart that allows itself to be confronted can be truly transformed.

Today, God is calling you into freedom. But the doorway is called Responsibility.

Join us today after services at 1pm in the Loft.

Altar Moments

Genesis 35:3: Jacob builds an altar at Bethel, saying, "God... answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me wherever I have gone"

With Christmas being this week we thought this would be a great opportunity to go back to our altar moments. The times God met us in our desperation. A time to intentionally focus on what God has done and thank him.

You may be struggling or going through a difficult season right now and you are finding it difficult to feel thankful. Difficult to see how you are going to get through this. Wondering if God hears your prayers. But rest assured, God is bigger than our struggle. Many times God met us in our mess and our distress. Times we had no doubt it was God, and other times thinking back now knowing he was working behind the scenes even when we couldnt see. Let us remember on purpose.

Join us today after services at 1pm in the Loft.

Today at Restore Recovery we discussed how to find comfort and strength in God's word in the midst of our struggles.

(Psalm 119:50) "This is my comfort in my affliction: Your promise has given me life.”

Or as the NLT version says
"Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles."

This verse means that God's word provides comfort and life during times of suffering. The verse highlights that in affliction, the psalmist finds solace in God's promises, which bring a sense of spiritual revival and strength. It emphasizes that the word of God offers a foundation of hope, reviving the spirit when it is weary.

Key points:

• Comfort in Affliction: The verse states that the psalmist's only comfort in suffering is found in God's word. This word serves as a source of consolation that helps endure hardships like pain, persecution, or hardship.

• Life and Revival: The phrase "for thy word hath quickened me" or "your word gives me life" means that God's word has the power to revive and give life to the believer. This revival can be a spiritual regeneration or a strengthening of one's spirit during trials.

• Source of Hope: God's word is the foundation for the hope the psalmist clings to. It assures him of God's faithfulness and presence, even in the midst of his troubles.

• Spiritual Strength: By focusing on the promises and truths in God's word, the psalmist finds the strength to persevere and has faith that God will bring him through his difficult situation.

God is faithful, and He always keeps His promises. One of His greatest promises is to provide comfort during our times of distress, even in the darkest moments we can imagine. Along with that, He also promises to bring us through to the other side. We can count on Him to do what He said He would do. That brought a sense of comfort to the psalmist, and it’s a verse that can bring comfort to us as well.

Thought rehab 💭🧠

Romans 12:2 says:
[2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect

Key points of this verse:

• Do not conform to this world:

This encourages believers to avoid adopting the negative patterns and values of the world around them.

• Be transformed by the renewing of your mind:

The transformation of a person's life begins with a change in their thinking and perspective, aligning it with God's truth.

• Prove God's will:

A renewed mind enables a person to discern and approve of what God desires, which is described as "good, pleasing and perfect".

Today we are going to focus on our thoughts and how to renew our minds in Christ. Join us today after services at 1pm for group discussion and prayer.
