“We will not hide them from their descendants;
we will tell the next generation
the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord,
his power, and the wonders he has done.”
-Psalm 78:4

WAKE UP.

We talked about identity. Redemption. Healing. Changing your story.

But none of that happens without getting honest about what’s broken.

We walked through the Israelites’ wake-up call:

Wake up.
Mourn.
Get uncomfortable.
Rend your hearts.

Stop running. Stop hiding. Stop pretending everything is fine.

You can’t change your story while clinging to the same chains that wrote the old one.

God doesn’t just want to heal you so you can feel better.
He wants to redeem you so you can lead different.

Lead your family.
Lead your friends.
Lead your church.
Lead the next generation.

Your past doesn’t get the final word. Your failures don’t get the final word. God does.

So as we leave camp, there’s one question left:

How do you want to lead?

Because somebody is watching.

Wake up. Rend your heart. Change your story. Lead different.

A new school year is around the corner, and so is another year of FRC Youth.

Starting Wednesday the 19th, we’ll gather every week to grow in God’s Word, encourage one another, and build a community centered on Christ.

If you’re in 6th–12th grade, we’d love to have you with us.

You can change your story:

The world tells you your past defines you. The Gospel says your future can be redeemed.

Today was packed with team competitions, the new Spider-Man movie, and a night around the campfire lifting our voices in worship. But the biggest battle wasn’t on the field—it was in the heart.

Tonight we talked about changing your story. You are not chained to your failures, your past, or the labels the world has put on you. In Christ, the old story ends and a new one begins.

The decisions you make today won’t just shape your life—they’ll echo into the lives of everyone around you.

Write a story worth following.

Day 4 recap:

Wake up!
Mourn
Get Uncomfortable
Mend your Heart

Today wasn’t about comfort. It was about surrender.

We talked about what it means to fall before the Lord to find real healing. Wake up. Mourn your sin. Get uncomfortable. Let God mend what you’ve been trying to hide.

The day was packed with competition—dodgeball, kickball, volleyball, and plenty of battles on the field. The night ended around the campfire, in worship, and with a s’mores party. But the greatest victory wasn’t won in a game—it was won in hearts that chose to lay down their baggage at the feet of Christ.

God doesn’t build strong men and women by making life easy. He builds them through repentance, obedience, and transformation.

Day 2 recap:

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
-John 3:16-19
——

The day started with time in God’s Word, followed by volleyball, team challenges, and a water slide that kept everyone moving. But the biggest moment came tonight.

We talked about the baggage we all carry and the God who is strong enough to take it. Shame, fear, guilt, pride, hurt—whatever you’ve been dragging around, Christ didn’t call you to keep carrying it. God buries it in the depths of the ocean and forgets he put it there. Lay it at Christ’s feet and walk in the freedom He offers.
