THIS SUNDAY we celebrate the Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came upon all the disciples gathered in a room in Jerusalem, and enabled them to speak the Good News of Jesus Christ in other languages. Jewish visitors from other countries heard the mighty works of God in Jesus as a result, and many began believing in Jesus Christ as the promised Messiah and Savior from that day forward. Pentecost is considered the unofficial birthday of the Christian Church.
