A CONGREGATIONAL MEETING has been called by the session to be held immediately after worship on Sunday, September 13, for the purpose of receiving the report of the Congregational Nominating Committee and taking action on its recommendations. Nominations are needed for one trustee and one ruling elder.

OUR MONTHLY FOOD OFFERING will be received on Sunday, September 13, during the service of worship.

A SPECIAL Venezuelan Earthquake Relief Offering will be received Sunday, September 20 during the 10 a.m. worship service. The offering will help the Venezuelan Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Agency to assist the country’s citizens recover from twin earthquakes that struck on August 15, killing more than 6,300 persons. DURING THE Christian Education Hour at 11 a.m., Rev. Dr. Langdon finishes the “Feasting on the Word” summer adult Bible Study series with “Unlikely Saviors, Creative Response”. The next adult study series will be for the season of Advent, starting Sunday, November 29.

August 16 - Rev. Langdon's sermon for this 12th Sunday after Pentecost is entitled: "...a house of prayer for all people", based on Isaiah 56:1-8; Psalm 67; Romans 11:1-2a, 29-32; and Matthew 15:21-28. The service also may be viewed on Tabler's page.

Last Saturday's Tabler Threads Clothing Closet (TTCC)was a huge success, with 188 people taking 913 items, which included 22 backpacks, 28 lunchboxes, 24 hygiene kits, and 12 towel sets. Donations of fall and winter clothing are now being accepted for the next TTCC open date of November 14.

DURING THE Christian Education Hour at 11 a.m., Rev. Dr. Langdon continues the “Feasting on the Word” adult Bible Study series with “Reconciliation in Places of Exile”.

COPIES OF “Persevering Toward Wholeness”, the summary report of our denomination’s 227th meeting of the General Assembly, prepared by the independent magazine, The Presbyterian Outlook, are available on the back table of the Sanctuary. It covers key decisions and outcomes that are important for congregations’ life and ministry, and indicate the broader direction of the denomination.
