When friends lowered a paralyzed man through a roof to reach Jesus, He didn't just address the obvious physical need. He spoke to the deeper wound: "Friend, your sins are forgiven" (Luke 5:20). Jesus has the authority to confront every single thing we carry, but He doesn't expose our hidden needs to shame us—He reveals them to heal us.
