Coming Up at JSUMC:
This Sunday, June 14th at 9:30 - Pastor Rich Havard will be bringing the message, "May the Lord: A Benediction". We will be gathering after the service for cake and coffee to lift up our gratitude to Pastor Rich for his years of service with us.
Our next Monthly Meeting will be on Sunday, July 5th, at 11am - and this will also be our first Sunday with our "new" pastor, Jane Rubietta!
And - please mark your calendars for the next two important items:
There will be a celebration of gratitude on June 14th right after our service when we gather to thank Rev. Rich Havard for his time with us over the past 8 years.
June 14th will be his last regularly scheduled time with us as we prepare for our new pastoral appointment of Pastor Jane Rubietta on July 5th.
And, on Sunday, June 28th, there will be another celebration of gratitude for our Pastor, Irene Taylor, right after the service where she will be preaching for the last time as our Pastor - Pastor Irene has been with us since 2020 and is now going to "re"-retire after 6 wonderful years with us.
Our mission at Feed My Starving Children continues - and our next session at FSMC in Libertyville will be happening on Saturday, July 11th 2-3:45pm - Questions? Please contact Marcia at: and the agenda is [email protected]
AAHAA (The Antioch Area Healthcare Accessibility Alliance) is needing volunteer drivers to help people get to medical appointments. Please see the attached information - and know that your help us important, and greatly appreciated.
There is a workshop on July 18th 8:30-1:30 at Barrington UMC, "Becoming Beloved Community", and our DS, Rev. Wendy Hardin Hermann, has asked us to consider attending - interested?

Updated information on the Grant Township Food Pantry donation needs, take a look at the attachment for any information about what they are currently needing. Monetary contributions are also welcome and are matched 8x!
JARS will be open: Wednesdays from 10am - 7pm, and Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am - 3pm. Please keep the JARS mission of helping our neighbors in mind! And special thanks to Martha Vincent for her amazing dedication, and to all of the volunteers!
