We use the word “hope” for a lot of things:

“I hope it doesn’t rain.”
“I hope I get the job.”
“I hope things get easier.”

But biblical hope is more than a wish.

It is confidence that the God who holds all things in His wise and powerful hands can be trusted, even when life feels messy.

What are you trusting God with this week?

The Christian life was never meant to be lived alone.

We need people who will pray with us, encourage us, speak truth with love, and point us back to God when the world pulls us in another direction.

Church is a family of believers learning to submit to God together—one decision and one day at a time.

Join us this Sunday at CrossPoint Church. We would love to grow alongside you.

Last Sunday, Nate Gardner taught us from James 4:1-10 and challenged us to take key spiritual steps: submit to God, resist the devil, and draw near to Him. Nate reminded us that God opposes the proud, but always extends grace to those who humbly submit to Him.

This week, I’ll be sharing insights from Psalms 42, 46, and 121. These psalms boldly remind us that even when life gets tough, God’s presence is all we need. It’s important to lean on Christ, who is the only real source of hope. The psalmists encourage us to remember that in the midst of chaos, our hope comes from the Lord, and that His presence is enough, no matter what life throws our way.

Join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM as we gather as a community to worship the King and learn how God’s presence in our lives makes all the difference.

When the AWANA Clubs Commander brings his object lessons to Sunday service…you know the message is going to stick! 🔴🔵

Using plenty of audience participation, he helped us remember the three actions found in James 4:7–8:

Submit to God.
Resist the devil.
Come near to God.

And speaking of AWANA, mark your calendars:

There may be missing shoes, mismatched outfits, spilled snacks, or a meltdown before you even reach the parking lot. But every Sunday you bring them, you’re showing them that gathering with God’s people matters.

They may not remember every lesson or song, but they’ll remember being welcomed, loved, prayed for, and surrounded by people who point them to Jesus. 🤍

Bring the wiggles. Bring the questions. Bring the whole family. We have a place for all of you!

Submission isn’t a one-time decision—it’s a daily choice.

James 4:7–8 gives us three clear actions:
A
Submit to God.
Resist the devil.
Come near to God.

We cannot effectively resist what pulls us away from God until we first place ourselves under His authority. And when we take a step toward Him, He gives us this beautiful promise: He will come near to us.

Submitting to God isn’t a one-time decision. It’s something we choose again every day.

We place ourselves under His authority.
We resist what pulls us away from Him and intentionally draw near to Him.

… And here is the incredible promise: when we come near to God, He comes near to us.

What is one area of your life that you need to submit to God today?

Faith was never meant to be lived alone.

At CrossPoint, we are a gathering of imperfect people learning to love God, love one another and make a Kingdom impact together.

We’re growing UP in our relationship with God, IN through meaningful community and OUT by sharing His grace.

We would love for you to become part of the story.
