Dinner Time Meditation # 2,206 - Monday, April 27, 2026
IHBC exists to Intentionally Help you Become Christ-like through Biblical-teaching, Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship

The Prophecy Weekend was wonderful but now it is over. Since I have surgery tomorrow, I thought a good thing to think on and meditate on today would be heaven and the eternal state. It is fun to read and ponder.
NOTE: Since I have knee replacement surgery tomorrow I want you all to know that this will be the last meditation for some days till I am off pain meds and able to think and write. Maybe a week??? I will appreciate your prayers for healing. Blessings to you all! For those of you with Knee or Hip replacements, I have always wondered what will happen to our replacement parts when we are raptured. Will they be left behind and only our natural body parts make the rapture trip??? Something you can think on:).
Please take time to read, re-read, meditate on & pray over Revelation 21:1-27 & 22:1-9
Revelation 21:1–27 (NASB95)
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.
2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them,
4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
5 And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
6 Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.
7 “He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.
8 “But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
11 having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper.
12 It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.
13 There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 The one who spoke with me had a gold measuring rod to measure the city, and its gates and its wall.
16 The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal.
17 And he measured its wall, seventy-two yards, according to human measurements, which are also angelic measurements.
18 The material of the wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
19 The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;
20 the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
22 I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
23 And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.
25 In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed;
26 and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it;
27 and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
Revelation 22 (NASB95)
1 Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond- servants will serve Him;
4 they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
5 And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.
6 And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true”; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place.
7 “And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book.”
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things.
9 But he said to me, “Do not do that. I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed the words of this book. Worship God.”

Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow!

Dinner Time Meditation # 2,205 - Friday, April 24, 2026
IHBC exists to Intentionally Help you Become Christ-like through Biblical-teaching, Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship

Today is Friday the day before our Prophecy Weekend begins. If you haven't made plans yet, please join us tomorrow April 25 at 9:00 to register and get your gift bag and the first session begins focusing on the Rapture at 9:30 AM. Did I mention a free lunch comes later? Please come and join us. We end the day at 2:30 with a question-and-answer session. Thinking on the Rapture and our Blessed Hope in preparation please take time to read, re-read, meditate on & pray over 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 & Titus 2:11-15.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (NASB95)
13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Titus 2:11–15 (NASB95)
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
12 instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,
13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
15 These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

Note the significance of both these Scriptures.

We are told at the close of 1 Thessalonians 4 that we are to 'comfort one another with these words.' This passage clearly tells of the Rapture. It is the next event we know will take place on the Prophetic calendar when all of us who are believers will be lifted up from this earth with the shout and the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ will rise first. Wow, what an exciting event for all who are believers to be looking forward to. No pun intended but the Rapture trumps politics, political agendas, work, play, vacations, projects, etc which all come to an end and a life in heaven with the Lord begins. Hallelujah, Amen!

In Titus we are told to give instructions to deny ungodliness and worldly desires while we live sensibly, righteously and godly in the godless current age all while we look for the "Blessed Hope" the precious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ in what we call the Rapture. These things we are to speak and exhort and reprove others with all authority! Why? Because we are going to be meeting Jesus face to face and we need to live ready to meet Him! Can I get an Amen?

Amen and Hallelujah and that is why we are hosting a Prophecy Weekend to stir us up to live righteously and Godly proclaiming the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! Excited! Amen!

Oh, I cordially invite you to join us! Tell them at the welcome desk, pastor John sent you!

Dinner Time Meditation # 2,204 - Wednesday, April 23, 2026
IHBC exists to Intentionally Help you Become Christ-like through Biblical-teaching, Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship

1 Timothy 4 is our meditation today. It has been on my mind as I ponder the prophecy conference and focus ahead on my teaching in the book of 1 Timothy. "In the later time" or "in the last days" we are warned. Please take time to read, re-read, meditate on & pray over 1 Timothy 4:1-16
1 Timothy 4:1–16 (NASB95)
1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,
2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,
3 men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.
4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude;
5 for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.
6 In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following.
7 But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness;
8 for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
9 It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance.
10 For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
11 Prescribe and teach these things.
12 Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
13 Until I come, give attention to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation and teaching.
14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.
15 Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress will be evident to all.
16 Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

1 Timothy 4:1 makes me sad because it states that some will fall away from the faith. How sad that is! The truth can be right in front of someone, but because we live in a contrasting and discovery world with the internet and google people cannot accept what is plain and in black and white, but must find an alternative that better fits their lifestyle. Rather than accepting Biblical truth from God's word, something is read contrary on the internet and it is accepted as truth instead of what is clearly state in God's word. The guidelines of morals and ethics are easily set aside. Deceitful spirits and the doctrines of demons are having a heyday today. Speak the truth, let your yes mean yes and your no mean no are Biblical standards, but people question whether anything is true and look for alternative truths to fit their lifestyle.
Let me just encourage you to seek godliness in every situation which is profitable for all things! (8)
My exhortation to you today comes from verse 10, which is to 'fix your hope on the living God who is the Savior of all who believe. Be faithful to your call to godliness and live to please the Lord in all you do!
A favorite verse over the last couple of years... "Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father." (Colossians 3:17 - NASB95)

Dinner Time Meditation # 2,203 - Wednesday, April 22, 2026
IHBC exists to Intentionally Help you Become Christ-like through Biblical-teaching, Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship

Once again, Yesterday has turned into Today, which was Tomorrow, so I will continue as promised yesterday and look today at the last 3 statements of our "common confession“ which is our great mystery of godliness. Please take time to read, re-read, meditate on & pray over 1 Timothy 3:14-16
14 I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long;
15 but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.
16 By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness:
He who was revealed in the flesh,
Was vindicated in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed on in the world,
Taken up in glory.

Our common confession begins declaring that Jesus, our Lord and Savior, was (1) "revealed in the flesh", He was (2) "vindicated in the Spirit", and (3) "seen by angels", which were the focus of our study yesterday. Today we turn to the last 3 statements, Jesus was...

4) “…Proclaimed among the nations…” This was fulfilled by 'The Great Commission' being fulfilled through the preaching of the Gospel to all nations. For further Scripture study, see also...Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 27-28, 41. Let me state this summary truth for you to meditate on... If you are believer then you have been blessed by those who have been faithful to share the gospel. Have you blessed someone with the gospel message? Are you ready to share the Gospel message? What would you say?

5) “…Believed on in the world…” The Gospel is the Power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. Whoever believes on the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved. For further Scripture study, see also John 1:10-12; 3:16-18; Acts 1:8; 27-8, 41; 1 Peter 1:1-3; Revelation 7:9-14. Let me state this summary truth for you to meditate on... Believing on Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord gives eternal hope, peace with God and purpose for your life. It is the Good News that God loves us and wants to be with us in life. Jesus is Immanuel, God with us, and after He left Jesus sent the Holy Spirit not only to be with us but in us! Amen!

6) “…Taken up in glory.” - The Ascension of Christ – the victory of Christ over the powers of sin and death
>Acts 1:9-10; Philippians 2:1-11; Hebrews 1:3; 10:12; 12:1-3; Revelation 3:21. Let me state this summary truth for you to meditate on... Christ, after his ascension into heaven, serves as our intercessor and advocate before God’s throne giving confidence that our eternal relationship with God is secure. (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:23-28; 1 John 2:1). Hallelujah, and Amen!

Dinner Time Meditation # 2,202 - Tuesday, April 21, 2026
IHBC exists to Intentionally Help you Become Christ-like through Biblical-teaching, Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship

Okay, yesterday as I ended the Meditation, I noted the statement in verse 15... "I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth." and the I mentioned "Following this statement is a common confession in verse 16 which we will begin to look at tomorrow. " Well, it is tomorrow today and we will focus on that 'common confession' about Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Please take time to read, re-read, meditate on & pray over 1 Timothy 3:14-16
14 I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long;
15 but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.
16 By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness:
He who was revealed in the flesh,
Was vindicated in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed on in the world,
Taken up in glory.

1) “He who was Revealed in the Flesh…" referring to what we call "The Incarnation" – God became flesh and lived among us – tempted, yet without sin. For Scriptures on the Incarnation of Christ see >John 1:1-4; 14; 8:58; 17:5; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-2:20; Galatians 4:4; Philippians 2:1-11; Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 2:14-16; 4:14-16. Let me state this summary truth for you to meditate on... 'God, having come in the flesh, understands what you go through and will help you with all your weaknesses through the provision of His grace.'

2) “…Was vindicated in the Spirit…” I believe the Sinless Nature of Christ… so we can be righteous before God. Theologically we can refer to this also as the "Impeccability of Christ" or the truth that Christ could not sin and did not sin. For further Scripture see also Matthew 1:18-25; 3:13-17; Luke 1: 34-35; 4:1-13; 10:21-22; Hebrews 9:14, 1 Peter 3:18; see also 2 Corinthians 5:21 & 1 Peter 2:21-22. Let me state this summary truth for you to meditate on...
"The righteousness of Christ is an example for us to follow. We are able to live as He lived by the power of His death and resurrection.

3) “…Seen by angels…” -Referring to he Angels witnessing and testifying as to the divine nature Christ
Note: Angels announced the birth Christ, ministered to Christ, were available to Christ, witnessed and aided in His resurrection, will serve Christ in the future judgement. For Scripture revealing this truth see also
Hebrews 1:1-14; Matthew 1:18-25, 4:1-11; 5:18; 12:28; 13:27; 24:32; 26:53; Mark 1:12-13; Luke 1:26-2:20, 4:1-13; 8:26-31; Colossians 1:15; 1 Peter 1:10-12; 3:18-19. Let me state this summary truth for you to meditate on... "God has blessed us with 'guardian angels' who render service to us who inherit salvation (Matthew 18:10; Hebrews 1:14) Live trusting His watch-care!

Wow, okay that is a lot meditate on for one meditation, I will finish the last 3 statements tomorrow. Happy Studies!!! Blessings! Amen!

Dinner Time Meditation # 2,201 - Monday, April 20, 2026
IHBC exists to Intentionally Help you Become Christ-like through Biblical-teaching, Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship

Last Tuesday I wrote on 1 Timothy 3 and today I want to turn again to that chapter of Scripture. I taught on it yesterday in the Bible School Hour working through the first 7 verses focusing on an overseer or a pastor in church leadership. Please take time to read, re-read, meditate on & pray over 1 Timothy 3:1-16
1 It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do.
2 An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
3 not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.
4 He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity
5 (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?),
6 and not a new convert, so that he will not become conceited and fall into the condemnation incurred by the devil.
7 And he must have a good reputation with those outside the church, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain,
9 but holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.
10 These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach.
11 Women must likewise be dignified, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things.
12 Deacons must be husbands of only one wife, and good managers of their children and their own households.
13 For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
14 I am writing these things to you, hoping to come to you before long;
15 but in case I am delayed, I write so that you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.
16 By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness:
He who was revealed in the flesh,
Was vindicated in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed on in the world,
Taken up in glory.

I am leaving the teaching on the Elders & Deacons (vss. 1-13) to the Sunday Bible School Hour, so we are going to jump down to verse 14, but I wanted to set the context for you by reading the entire chapter and jumping down to verse 14. Verse 14 states clearly Paul's desire to come to visit Timothy and the church before long, but... enter into verse 15. The focus of 1 Timothy 3:15 points out the reason for the entire epistle of 1 Timothy. Paul states that if he is delayed in coming it is important for them “to know how to conduct” oneself in the fellowship of the Church. One of the most destructive tasks of Satan has been to demean the purpose of the fellowship of the local church and its impact on our lives. The local church is designed to stand as a pillar of truth. It is critically important for any Christian who wants to walk with the Lord to be an active part of a local church. It is the church of the living God. If you want to ignore God and His will for your life, than do not attend a church. I know that sounds harsh, but it is simply an understanding of what we read here. Following this statement is a common confession in verse 16 which we will begin to look at tomorrow. Blessings!
