I wanted to share something with our Industry Assembly family that I think is really encouraging!
Since March, we have been keeping a much closer record of our Sunday morning worship attendance—not simply how many people are here, but who is here from week to week.
During the 12 Sundays we recorded this spring, we had a total attendance of 1,033, averaging 86 people every Sunday morning.
Then came summer.
Normally, you expect attendance to drop during the summer. People are traveling. Families are on vacation. There are camps, reunions, ball games, and all kinds of things happening.
But during our 13 summer Sundays, we had a total attendance of 1,121, and we still averaged 86 people every Sunday morning.
In other words, our summer Sunday morning attendance held right with our spring attendance!
Put spring and summer together, and over these 25 Sunday mornings, we recorded 2,154 individual attendances at our church.
And remember—these are Sunday morning worship numbers only.
They don't include all the people gathering throughout the week for Sunday School, Hometown Kids, Summit Youth, classes, breakfasts, special events, and the many other things happening within our church family.
But I don't want us to look at 2,154 and simply see a number.
Every one of those attendances represents a person.
A family.
A child.
A teenager.
Someone who has been here for years.
Someone who may have walked through our doors for the very first time.
And most importantly, someone whom Jesus loves.
I am so thankful for what God has done through this spring and summer, and I believe we have every reason to look toward this fall with expectation.
Thank you for being faithful.
Thank you for making gathering together a priority.
And thank you for helping us continue to build a church where there is always room for one more!
Hope to see you Sunday!
