Living Word In The Desert a multi-cultural family church A Multi-cultural church with a heart for God & a heart for people. Pastor Jesse Sanchez opened Living Word in the Desert in 2006.

Pastor Sanchez pioneered his first church when he was 22yrs old. His life was transformed at the age of 18 when he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. Before Christ he was a troubled teen; started problems every he went. The church that his family attended believed that "God couldn't even help him". At 14 years old Jesse had started a gang in Desert Hot Springs known as “Brownstown”. By the time

Jesse was sixteen he was arrested for attempted murder, he had stabbed a rival gang member. Charges were later lowered to bodily harm to another person and he was sentenced to 2 years in placement. While in placement Chaplin Ruben Morales led Jesse to the Lord, he was 18 years old. After being released from placement he admitted himself to a Christian Men’s Home. He was there for one year, then returned back to Desert Hot Springs. On May 27th 1995, he marries his high school sweetheart Allie Montano. At 19 years old they purchase their first home, which currently facilitates our Victory Life training center. In 1998 Jesse Sanchez pionered his first church in a home in Cathedral City, later moved into a storefront. In 2006 Pastor Sanchez opened Living Word in the Desert in Indio California after the church building was given to him. In 2021 another church building was given in the city of Desert Hot Springs. Living Word in the Desert DHS campus .Two locations, with more to come.
